Indigo Box Set Pic!

Hey I was gonna put this here! Anyway its Amazon what do you expect. There always wrong when it comes to anime. As I said on my thread it doesn't look that great but at least it has a lot of episodes which is a true Pokemon collectable..
 
The box set stats says the languages will be English and Japanese with subtitles. If it's actually true... That's another story.

And seriously, 20+ episodes in two languages for 29.99?

Naruto Uncut is like 40.00 for 13 episodes!

Pokemon DVDs have always been cheap, on account of them lacking any special features, but it is interesting that it's only $20... I paid about $60 altogether for Master Quest, and there were in the neighborhood of 50 episodes there. Since Indigo (hopefully) covers everything up to Orange Islands, I'm guessing that it'll be more in the neighborhood of $50. But then, these are episodes that many fans (myself included) already own on VHS, so I may be wrong... still, I was hoping for commentary or something.

$30 for 26 English-only episodes ain't bad at all.

And look! A human on the cover! You don't see that too often.
 
Just 26? So will there be 2 sets, like with Master Quest?

And Master Quest had LOTS of humans on the cover.

EDIT: Never mind, there's a big "1" on the bottom left hand corner of the box. Though I appreciate that greatly... I like the installment plan thing they've been doing with the Pokemon sets.
 
I wish Eric Starut would have gone and redubbed the first episodes with Ted Lewis...I love you Ted, but your James was awful.
 
Same here. Ted sounded like a gay British guy trying to be French, or vice versa.

Maybe they did... just to give him one more go at it... :(

And given that Indigo is everything up to "Pallet Party Panic!" (where the first Orange Islands DVD starts), there's most likely going to be three, or maybe just 2, but either the second set will be bigger and pricier (like MQ 2), or the third will be smaller and slightly cheaper (around $20).

I always thought Indigo ended with Freinds To The End and Pallet Party Panic was like the "transition" to Orange.
 
Most transition episodes don't fit into one saga perfectly but I would place Pallet Party Panic in Indigo since it mainly deals with Pidgeot.

Of course, the question is, when will the other seasons get boxset treatment(first two Johto seasons, Advanced Challenge)?

Sad. LOST boxset here (full season 1) costs the same price.

It's NOT cheap.

EDIT: They could have at least make it multilingual :-/

But it's already on Orange Islands vol. 1. First episode.

They didn't put "Hoenn It Alone" on the first volume of Advanced, did they? So they've got no real reason to put "Pallet Party Panic" on the last volume of Indigo.

And some of us LIKE Johto. Like me.

TBA: Did you honestly think we were getting subs on this set? Your expectations were a bit high, methinks. I mean, I'm all for subs too, but come on.
