I want to get the Indigo episodes on DVD, but I am confused with the different products out there.

There is this one:
http://www.sysqs.com/itemdetails.php?isbn=782009235644&marketplace=froogle
It doesn't say what episodes are on it - is it the entire season 1?

and then there are these ones:
http://underbid.com/action/display/item/183-1064630543/sku/782009235644.html
which appear to be part 1 of 4?

So is the first one all of the episodes, or is it like the first part? I can't tell because of the different box art and limited info.

Also, does anyone know the cheapest place to buy them in real life or on the net?

Dogasu's usually the first one to tell folks this, but I'll beat him to it- Deep Discount DVD is win. Otherwise, try doing a search on Froogle. You'd be surprised what bargains you can dig up there.

Oh, and thus far, we have Vol 1 and 2 (season 1- ending with Breeding Center Secret). I'm assuming 3 and 4 are on their way.

(can't wait till next week to see if she got hers)

There are three Indigo box sets altogether. The first two have been released, while the third one is due to be released on February 18th, 2008.

As for the different cover arts you're coming across - the one in the second link is the accurate one. The one in the first link is simply the cover to one of the discs that come in the box, while the one in the second link is the cover to box itself and is the one you'd see on store shelves.

An individual breakdown of what episodes are on what set can be found on my site [/shameless plug]

Definitely Deep Discount.com.

I've used them before and, in addition to being really cheap, are also pretty fast as well.

Are these new ones the American edited version of them, or is it still UK/Australia? And does anyone know how the quality compares with the original DVDs?

It's still the UK/Australia ones. So Todd is Snap, and all the extra censoring from the Kids' WB! version (i.e. cropping out Meowth's lighter in "Attack of the Prehistoric Pokemon") isn't present.

And does anyone know how the quality compares with the original DVDs?

It's not all that great, really.

I wanted to take the box set, the original Viz release of Volume 1, and the Tenth Anniversary Pikachu volume and do some three-way comparison shots of the first episode. Kinda like what the Dragon Ball website Daizenshuu EX did with the Dragon Box.

But I never got around to buying them. And now that I'm in Japan, that makes things harder.

I figured, I was just curious about which one was worse since I have a couple of the originals.

I wish you had, that would've been pretty cool. The Anniversary sets are the only DVDs that use the 4Kids version, right?

Hmmm, are their listings accurate? I did a search for Inuyasha (for the movie box set), and it says that all of the movies are in full screen, even though I am pretty sure they are not cropped.

http://search.deepdiscount.com/search?w=inuyasha&af=cat1:dvds

For the individual movie listings, it says they are Fullscreen on the search page, but Widescreen in the product description. XD

And yeah, those guys are cheap! And free shipping? I know where I am buying DVDs from now on. :p Thanks for suggesting them!

The listing probably aren't accurate. But then again, how many Amazon.com listings for Pokemon are there that list Matsumoto Rika and company in the credits even though all the discs are dub-only?

I've spent several hundred dollars on Deep Discount DVD and have never had any trouble with them at all. Happy shopping :)

That's news to me.

Oh. I recall your site saying at least one of the DVDs was the 4Kids version, but that may have been speculation or something.
