INNOCENCE
The Arcana Wielders

There exists within each person, a power called Innocence. Innocence is a power that comes deep within the heart of its user, and is meant to be a reflection of one's inner self. Much like Tarot Cards, everyone's Innocence manifests itself into a form of Arcana, which starts in the form of The Fool. The Fool Arcana is one the represents the start of a journey, and beginnings. Like the number Zero, it's empty, but full of potential. However, after the awakening, Innocence manifests itself into a new Arcana, to display the growth of the user. However, there is one Arcana that is thought to be the strongest form of Innocence in existence. The World Arcana. An Arcana that is so powerful and rare, one user is born a century, and they possess the power to create a divine miracle, or destroy the entire fabric of reality. With the new wielder of the The World Arcana chosen by fate, you must protect them with your very life, or watch the world crumble beneath your feet....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, this is basically a revival of an old RP i created a while ago called Innocence. However, there are several tweaks. There's more of a theme of Tarot Cards and Arcana, however, the story remains the same. A girl, known as Noel Dahlia, has awakened as the Successor to the The World Arcana, and you must protect her with your very life, or the world as we know it will come to an end.

Arcana Classes: In order to create some diversity among the cast, both in personality and in battle style, a list of Arcana will be available. This Arcana is often the basis of Innocence, and affects the general abilities of their users. For example, someone with the Priestess Arcana would excel at healing, while someone with the Chariot Arcana would excel at attacking. Only one character for each Arcana, and Arcana will be given on a first come, first served basis. Meaning the first one to claim an Arcana, gets it. Arcana can be reserved for up to 24 hours, but expire after 24 hours making them available again. Here's a list of Available Arcana. (To put this in simplest terms, this is sort of like a class system in Dungeons and Dragons or Final Fantasy.)

1. The Magician: In Tarot Readings, The Magician Arcana represents Talent, Skill, Creativity, and Concentration. Innocence Wielders of the Magician Arcana are skilled in all forms of elemental magic, and are fairly fast, with decent speed. But there defenses tend to lack, and they don't excel at attacking head on. The Wielders themselves are often free spirited, creative, and resourceful, often being able to create many ideas.

2. The Priestess (Taken By Naoto):Often thought of as the parallel to the Hierophant Arcana. In Tarot Readings, The Priestess Arcana represents Wisdom, Intuition, and Inner thought. Innocence Wielders of the Priestess Arcana typically excel at healing, but they are also capable of attacking using a single element of sorcery. The Wielders themselves tend to be soft spoken women, who are very intelligent.

3. The Empress: Often thought as the parallel to the Emperor Arcana, in Tarot Readings, the Empress Arcana represents motherhood, femininity, nature, and beauty. Innocence Wielders of the Empress Arcana often excel at Magic based attacks and projectiles, and they often decent defenses and healing capabilities. (But other Arcana Classes such as the Priestess or Lovers do better at healing.) The Wielders themselves tend to be beautiful strong willed woman who are fairly motherly, and often act as leaders.

4. The Emperor (Taken By Heroic Sociopath): Often thought as the parallel to the Empress Arcana, in Tarot Readings, the Emperor Arcana represents control, structure, and fatherhood. Innocence Wielders of the Emperor Class tend to excel at close range attacks, and being able to endure attacks, with decent speed. (But their speed is usually outclassed by other melee attackers such as the Chariot or Strength Arcana's). The Wielders themselves tend to strong willed men, who act as leaders, and tend to be in control of their own situation.

5. The Hierophant: Often thought as the parallel to the Priestess Arcana, in Tarot Readings, the Hierophant represents solidarity, tradition, and wisdom. Unlike it's sister Arcana, The Priestess Class who excel at healing, the Hierophant Class Wielders often excel at physical attacking, along with a certain form of elemental sorcery. The Hierophant Class Wielders themselves often are men with high intelligence, and are rather strong willed.

6. The Lovers: In Tarot Readings, The Lovers often represents bonds, relationships, and harmony. Innocence Wielders of The Lovers Class often excel at healing, and support skills, buffing their allies and healing any wounds. However, they often lack offensive capabilities. Wielders of The Lovers Class often are well liked and popular individuals, with a rather kind heart.

7. The Chariot (Take by DracoMan): In Tarot Readings, The Chariot often represents Willpower, Drive, and Victory. Innocence Wielders of The Chariot Class often excel at a front line assault, being able to attack with speed and strength, being able to pummel their foes into submission. However, the Chariot Class often struggles at attacking from a distance, and their defensive capabilities isn't the best, not being quite as strong as those of the Strength or Emperor Arcana's. However, along with the Devil Arcana, they are the fastest class. The Wielders themselves often are strong willed, and unyielding individuals, who can have a short temper sometimes.

8. The Strength: In Tarot Readings, The Strength represents, Courage, Patience, and Strength. Innocence Wielders of The Strength often excel at physical abilities, having all around above average defense, strength, and speed. However, their magic resistance is below average, and their magical aptitude is lower then average. The Wielders themselves are patient, strong willed, and generally fairly athletic.

9. The Hermit (Taken by Ludwig Beilschmidt: In Tarot Readings, The Hermit represents solitude and self awareness. Innocence Wielders of the Hermit Class typically excel at enduring magical attacks, having the highest magical resistance among the Arcana classes. They also use dark magic along with spells meant to sabotage the foe. However, Hermits tend to be rather slow, and often need to endure attacks before attacking themselves. The Wielders themselves often are quiet individuals who prefer solitude.

10. The Fortune: Often referred to as "The Wheel of Fortune". In Tarot Readings, Fortune represents luck, destiny, and cycles. Innocence Wielders of The Fortune Class often excel at attacking, but often have decent magical resistance to. They often use sorcery revolving around Light and Darkness, but they can attack with decent physical attacks depending on their weapon. The Wielders themselves are often observant individuals, who are well aware of the changing fates.

11.Justice (Taken By Naoto): In Tarot Readings, Justice represents, truth, fairness, and ideals. Innocence Wielders of the Justice Class often excel at support and buffs, physical attacks, and light based sorcery. They however, are fairly weak to Darkness Attacks, taking more damage from them then the other Arcana Classes. The Wielders themselves tend to be kind hearted people, who are passionate about fairness and their ideals.

12: The Hanged Man: In Tarot Readings, The Hanged Man represents Restriction, Suspension, and Sacrifice. Innocence Wielders of The Hanged Man Class often excel at handicapping their opponents, and dealing damage with physical attacks. However, their magical resistance is rather weak, and they have fairly weak magical capabilities.

13: The Death: In Tarot Readings, Death usually represents change and cycles. Innocence Wielders of the Death Class, often excel at handicapping the foe, physical attacks, and Darkness based Sorcery, However, they suffer more from Light Based attacks more then the other classes. The Wielders themselves have usually experienced a near death experience before, or have lost a loved one, with the occurrence changing them for the rest of their lives.

14: Temperance:: In Tarot Readings, Temperance represents balance, equality, and purpose. The Wielders of the Temperance of Arcana are the Jack-of-all-trades so to speak. They can have access to healing, support, physical, and magical skills, but they often don't excel at anything like the other classes, their main weapon being their versatility. The Wielders themselves tend to be calm individuals, who understand the importance of moderation.

15The Devil: In Tarot Readings, the Devil Represents Sexuality, Bondage, and Mischef. The Wielders of the Devil Class are offensive gems, being very speedy, and excelling at both Magical and Physical attacks. They can use any form of elemental magic, but they usually prefer Darkness and Fire, and their tied with the Chariot Class for being the fastest class. The down side to being so offensively capable, is their lack of defenses. They have the weakest defenses among the classes, and they often rely on healers to stay in battle for long. The wielders themselves often are mischievous jokers, with a slightly perverted and dark sense of humor.

16: The Tower: In Tarot Readings, the Tower Represents disaster and change. The Innocence Wielders of the Tower Class excel at great defenses, and powerful physical strength. However, their speed is rather slow, and their magical aptitude is very low. The Wielders themselves often are stoic individuals who understand that nothing will always remain the same.

17: The Star(Tailisu10): In Tarot Readings, the Star Represents Joy, Hope, and Renewal. The Wielders of the Star Class tend to favor Support and Magic centering around Ice and Light, and they typically excel at defense, while having low physical strength. The Wielders themselves often are cheerful individuals with a hopeful and friendly outlook on life.

18. The Moon: In Tarot Readings the Moon represents Mystery, Fear, and Illusion. The wielders of the Moon Class often excel at using Physical skills, along with Ice and Darkness based magic. The Wielders themselves often have a slightly melancholy outlook, but enjoy solving puzzles.

19. The Sun: In Tarot Readings, the Sun Represents Fun, Warmth, and Joy. The Wielders of the Sun Class often excel at using Physical Skills, along with Fire and Light Based skills. The wielders themselves typically are sunny and cheerful people, who can smile even in a bleak situation.

Name: Danny Faulkner
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Arcana Class: Justice

Appearance: Danny stands at 5,11 and weighs 140 lbs. Being fairly slender. He has slightly pale skin, with messy red hair, and bright emerald green eyes. Danny typically wears a simple t shirt with a pair of jeans and a hoodie on cooler days.

Personality: Danny is typically a quiet and polite boy, but he’s quite passionate about his Ideals, and very loyal to his friends. He’s in love with Noel, and the feeling is mutual, but the two are playing chicken to say they have feelings for each other. Danny has a slight hatred for computers, not being very tech sufficient. He has strong morals, and does what he thinks is right, heedless of what others think. He’d sacrifice his life if it was for Noel.

Family Members: Mother (Active) Father (Left at young age, Status Unknown)

History: Danny has known Noel since they were little kids, and his childhood with Noel has matured into love. Danny's mother works two jobs because his father left at a very young age, so he mostly lives by himself because his mom's so busy. Other then that, there's not much to tell.

Innocence: The Oath Saber: Danny's Innocence manifests itself into a holy long sword with a silver colored blade, and a hilt shaped like a snow white pair of angel wings with a red jewel in the center of it. Danny's Innocence mostly revolves around him summoning light energy into his slashes, or summing orbs to throw from a distance.

Spells/Skills:
1. Holy Dagger: Danny thrusts his stab forward, and launches a dagger shaped projectile that is condensed with Light magic.
2. Devine Wings: Danny creates a pair of wings around his shoulder blades by summoning light, giving him the appearance of an angel. This spell allows Danny to take flight, allowing for quick travel, and an increase in agility in combat.
3. Tempest Slash: Danny spins a circle creating a ring of light to slash all enemies around him. (Similar to the Great Spin Attack Link does in Twilight Princess
4. Rising Spirit: Danny thrusts his sword into the air, to increase the physical strength of one his allies.
5. Sacred Barrage: Danny's strongest Spell, Danny traps the foe in a seal of light, before slashing them rapidly 19 times in 3 seconds. After charging his strength, Danny stabs the foe one last time to send them flying.

Other: Day Dream

Name: Rachel Clover
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Arcana Class: Priestess

Appearance: Rachel stands at 5,1 and weighs 98 lbs. Rachel has shoulder length black hair which is tied into twin tails. Her skin is pale white, and she has pale blue eyes. Rachel typically wears stylish clothing, such as nice turtlenecks with or without sleeves, skirts, and designer jeans.

Personality: Rachel is a serious and refined youth, with rather formal body language. Rachel is an honor student, and while she can come across as cool and distant, she's actually very kind deep down. Rachel is very smart, and has a rather classy sense of air about her. She drinks tea, her favorite being Earl Grey, and she tends to be rather quiet and soft spoken. However, she has a fiery temper, and she'll snap at anyone who threatens those dear to her.

Family Members: Father (Active) Mother (Active)
History: Rachel is from a rather wealthy family, her father being a head honcho of a major company. She was raised to be refined and lady like, but it slightly annoys her that she has a very little freedom, so she often leaves her penthouse apartment against her parents wishes, along with attending public school. She's fairly close friends with Noel, and she slightly knows Danny, being rather nice to the two of them.

Innocence: Flames of Hestia: Rachel's Innocence allows her to create and control scarlet flames. These flames can be used to burn her foes and targets, but they can also be used to heal her allies by bathing them in healing flames.

This is really good, and well thought out. Is there any room for Dark/Poison magic?

This is really good, and well thought out. Are we still using weapons like last time?

Yes, But one can also simply use a power of some sort.

Basically, when activating your Innocence, your character crushes a Tarot Card which summons their powers/weapon.

Make sense? I sort of got pretty inspired by the Persona Series and that new anime, Day Break Illusion.

What about The Judgement? Unless that one is better, I think I'll reserve The Devil. A bondage-themed Arcana is right up my alley!

Judgement is going to be used by one of the more major characters.

However, The Hermit and the Tower were also left out, and if anyone can think of a fighting style that suits them, let me know, and I'll add it to the list.

If memory serves, The Tower represents big dramatic things, as well as change. So perhaps a class that's really slow, but with very strong attacks?

The Hermit is independence, though the reverse of it is rejection from society. Perhaps high defense, with magic that reflects enemy attacks?

Yeah, the Tower represents Disaster, so having the Tower Class berserker type characters.

Yeah, and The Hermit being like the Magical Berserker that excels at Dark Magic and Magical Sabotage!

Thanks for the input!

One more thing, what are the magical elements? So far I've seen Fire and Ice. Any others?

They consist of Fire, Ice, Lighting, Wind, Light, Darkness, and Water.

Name: Terra White
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Arcana Class: Hermit

Appearance: Terra is a girl of medium height and build, approximately 5'5" and weighing about 100 pounds. She wears her black hair short, only to her ears, and her dark brown eyes are emotionless, unreadable, and hidden behind huge glasses that she wears for decoration. Her attire consists of a black shirt and tie, black skirt and tights, and black shoes. Outside of classes, she wears an all-black hooded cloak with the kanji for darkness (闇) that makes her appear to be a cultist of some sort.

Personality: Terra is a very unapproachable person, do to not talking unless the situation demands it. She instead communicates through her eyes and body language. She's known for what people at school call the Sacred Eye, which is the usual stare she gives someone. The stare makes one feel like she is looking into their soul. She can also go for long periods without blinking, making it impossible to beat her in a staring contest. She seems to love eye contact, but she hates physical contact, and will react with a burst of semi-psychotic rage if touched, unless it's by someone she trusts. She's almost always got her nose in a book, and can ignore anything around her, as if she's in her own dimension where she can't perceive the reality around her, but she takes in every minuscule detail. She may appear emotionless, but she keeps her emotions bottled up extremely well.

Family Members: Mother(active), Brother(active), Father(deceased)

History: Terra grew up an a loner, affected by Aspergers. She focused on academics, and excelled in it. Since she learned to read and write at three years old, she rarely spoke, choosing to learn by sight and hearing. As a result, anyone outside of her immediate family saw her as a mute and she was teased because of it. When she was seven, her father passed due to an illness, thus, scarring her even deeper. She fell into a deep depression, and stopped speaking even among family. She embraced the darkness and loneliness in her heart, choosing to focus on her academics to make her father proud.

Innocence: Power of the Void: Terra gains a staff that carries a dark aura and has a sharp end like a javelin. The kanji on her cloak also glows brightly, and her eyes also shine. Her physical and magical endurance also increase drastically. She can use abilities revolving around dark energy and defense. Some of them tend to draw from her life energy, and she can drain life energy or magic to counter this. In addition, she moves like a turtle through molasses uphill in January, except when she's counterattacking. Then she's the fastest out of everyone. Her counterattacks are as follows:
Double Vacuum Wave
High-speed Hurricane

Spells/Skills: (Terra's powers haven't yet been activated)
1. Vacuum Wave: Terra gathers energy into her hands and throws a huge pressure wave of darkness at an opponent. Very powerful, but has slow speed and weak homing. Can bounce off of surfaces.
2. Hurricane: Terra creates a twister around herself of dark winds. She can move slowly with this, but faster than normal. Anyone caught in it gets treated to lacerating winds and then blown far away when she disperses it.
3. Low Block: Terra raises a green barrier in front of herself to deflect magical attacks. It has a short duration, short cooldown, and quick casting time.
4. Mid Black: Terra psychically spins her staff in front of her to create a pentagonal shield in front of herself to block all frontal attacks. It has short duration and short cooldown, as well as fast casting time.
5. Delta Attack: Terra raises a circular barrier in front of herself to block all attacks, then fires a devastating beam from it. Touching the barrier will bounce anyone off of it and into the beam's firing path. The beam is short-ranged, though, to make up for the massive power output, which can punch a hole through a thick wall.

Other: Day Dream. Also, can can she have a car? If so, it'd be a 1982 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Wagon.

Name: Marshall Fenton
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Arcana Class: Chariot

Appearance: Marshall stands 5'11", with a wiry build, messy black hair, and brown eyes. The left side of his face bears a scar he once got from a knife fight. He typically wears a dark blue hoodie over a white shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers.

Personality: Marshall isn't someone to [EFF!] with; he refuses to put up with anyone antagonizing him, and those who do learn about his fighting prowess the hard way. Even more so, he despises those who pick on the weak and defenseless; those whom he witnesses doing so typically wind up in the hospital. Marshall typically takes a while to learn to trust others, but once he befriends someone, he'll defend that friend with his life. His "tough guy" persona hides the fact that he has the occasional day dream about not having to treat his life as one long battle.

Family Members: Marshall is an only child; his parents are deceased.

History: Marshall lost his parents when he was 10, and has been in and out of orphanages and foster homes since. The less-than-ideal conditions found therein contributed to his difficulty in opening up to others, as well as his protectiveness towards others in bad situations and his fighting skills, which he considers a matter of survival. The only real source of stability in his life is his apprenticeship at a nearby MMA gym, where he earns enough to support himself and his schooling. He's also taken to looking after the younger kids in whatever orphanage he's staying at, acting as a big brother to them.

Innocence: Aura Staff: A staff Marshall carries as his weapon. When its power is activated, it becomes a glowing energy weapon that enhances his combat abilities and delivers powerful jolts of energy to whatever it strikes. Even when not powered up, it's still effective as a melee weapon.

Spells/Skills:
1. Premonition: Allows Marshall to sense his opponents' movements just before they're actually made.
2. Rapid Strike: Allows Marshall to attack multiple times per second with his staff.
3. Fist Barrage: Allows Marshall to punch his opponent multiple times per second.
4. Rush Run: Allows Marshall to run at very high speeds for a brief period of time.
5. Super Punch: Allows Marshall to focus his strength into one powerful punch that can break through almost anything.

New spells:

6. Sky Jump: Allows Marshall to jump very high.

@Ludwig Beilschmidt; Your approved! Great Sign Up! (Just don't make her to stoic, we'll probably need to communicate with her on occasion.) Also, it's okay for her to have a car. (But it'll probably not get used very often because the RP takes place in a crowded city.)
@DracoMan; Your's is great to, but your missing something! Read the rules!

It's in there. In boldface. Reread it.

I was thinking of having her use sign language or write messages on paper. Also I was thinking of making her the reluctant fighter of the team, being convinced by whoever she ends up having a close relationship with.

Having a mute character is a bitch, dude. Are you sure you want to do it?

She's not entirely mute, that's the public perception of her since she's extremely tight-lipped in public. She can talk extremely well, it's a matter of motivation to do so, or lack thereof. Considering that she can cause many earaches when she does speak, people who do hear her speak would prefer her silence.

Very true. But she operates under the maxim that the more you speak, the less you hear, and she's primarily an auditory learner. That, and at school, there's enough talking going on with her schoolmates.
