Iono and Shauntal to debut seasonal costumes in Pokémon Masters EX this week, in new Sync Pairs with Flutter Mane and Froslass

A special trailer posted to Pokémon Masters EX's official social media accounts today has revealed that Iono, the influencer and streamer boss of the Gym Leader of Paldea's Levincia Gym, and Shauntal, the Ghost-type specialist of the Unova Elite Four, will each be debuting new Seasonal Sync Pairs later this week, alongside a new Halloween-themed story event featuring both characters. Fashionable Frights Sweepstakes have also been launched on the official English and Japanese language accounts on X.

Iono Seasonal Scout
Iono (Fall 2024) & Flutter Mane's Seasonal Scout will run from October 14th, at 11:00pm (PDT), until November 5th, at 9:59pm (PST). This seasonal sync pair are expected to be released with an expanded sync grid. More information on this sync pair can be found on Bulbapedia closer to their release. Their seasonal costume is based on the Jiāngshī from Chinese folklore, also known as the hopping vampire.

Iono (Fall 2024) & Flutter Mane are a Ghost-type Strike (Special) Role Sync Pair with a Support EX Role. Their S-Move: Restore T-Move MP 9 Passive Skill restores 1 MP every time they use their sync move, allowing them to potentially use their Terrifying Shadow Ball Buddy Move over and over during each battle, and making them perfect for things like the Battle Rally, where they might otherwise not be able to recover MP between fights.

Shauntal Seasonal Scout
Shauntal (Fall 2024) & Froslass' Seasonal Scout will run from October 16th, at 11:00pm (PDT), until November 5th, at 9:59pm (PST). This seasonal sync pair are expected to be released with an expanded sync grid. More information on this sync pair can be found on Bulbapedia closer to their release. Their seasonal costume is based on Frosslass, which itself was inspired by the Yuki-onna, or snow woman, from Japanese folklore.

Shauntal (Fall 2024) & Froslass are a Tech Role Sync Pair, with a focus on debuffing opponents. One of their passive skills will drastically lower opponent's stats anytime they use their Power Snow attack, which itself only uses a single move gauge slot. Their Buddy Move goes a step further, with double stat decreases, plus leaving all opponents frozen.

Seasonal Story Event
This event, which appears to be named Midnight Parade based on the promotional post for the event on X, is presumed to be launching on October 14th, at 11:00pm (PDT), alongside the start of the Iono Seasonal Scout, though as of writing no date and time has been explicitly given. The trailer shows several short scenes from the event, with Iono and Shauntal teaming up with Klara as they investigate some spooky and mysterious happenings on Pasio. Past seasonal sync pairs also briefly feature.

Fashionable Frights Sweepstakes
To celebrate the debuts of these two new Seasonal Sync Pairs and this new event, special Fashionable Frights Sweepstakes are being held on the official English and Japanese language accounts on X, giving players the opportunity to win a variety of prizes.

For the English competition, 10 winners will each receive a set of acrylic stands featuring Iono and Shauntal in their new seasonal outfits.

For the Japanese competition meanwhile, 20 winners will be chosen, with each winner receiving one of the same sets of Acrylic stands
