IRC program??

Hi, I just needed to know if anyone knows of any other IRC program other than mIRC that works well. I've tried 3 other prgrams but they won't connect to the bulba garden channel. If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

my guess is that it's not the irc program, but a firewall, either software- or hardware-based. A router might also be a culprit. You need full access to port 6667 to connect to IRC.

nope...

It's not the hardware, software, firewall, or router. It's the programs, they are crappy. I had been using mIRC but my 30 day trial is over and I can barely scrape together enough money to buy the pokemon games and still have a life outside of my house too. I need money to go out on dates with girlfriends, out to theme parks for a day ......or week....with friends. Money money money makes the world go round!

You don't have to spend a cent on mIRC. It just whines at you, but you can still use it. I've never paid for mIRC and I've been using it for over 5 years.

That's wierd....It doesn't let me run mIRC. It tells me my trial is over and that I have to subscribe, If I hit cancel or continue it closes it x_x.

It's working now, I had to mess with the program a little until I got rid of the registration need. So, I'll see people around on IRC, maybe even on Skype o.o!
