Iris with 7 badges?

Okay so, PLEASE don't yell at me or call me insane, but I think Iris may have 7 badges. It could be a surpries twist. In her flashback she said she had won 99 battles and that is a lot more than 7. Then she challenged Drayden, a gym leader, and lost. What if 7 of the 99 battles were gym leaders? Do you think that would ever happen/be a good surprise twist?

I really want this to happen. I was mad when Dawn didn't win that badge from Maylene AND I was mad when Ash never won a ribbon, when he actually wanted to beat the Sinnoh Leauge and the Grand Festival... It'd be fun to see a character work on more than one goal.:flinch:
 
I admit this would be a surprise twist, but if she does have 7 badges, she's keeping it pretty well hidden.

Also, none of the Gym leaders recognized her so far, so its probably unlikely.
 
There is next to no evidence to support this assumption. I imagine it would be difficult to acquire seven badges from only one Pokemon (Excadrill).

Also, she had no idea who Drayden was at first. I doubt she'd even be old enough to receive a badge at that age...

It's been shown time and time again that there are more than 8 Gyms in every region Ash goes to, no reason why it should be different now.

What are you talking about? Ash never expressed any desire to beat the Grand Festival.
 
- She had 99 wins before she left the Dragon Village
- Doryuuzu was unwilling to battle; Kibago unable to
- None of the gym leaders know who she is or have shown any signs of recognizing her.

So, no... I don't think that she has 7 badges.

Iris's hair seem very likely.

Shame badges are just that, even now. No Pokemon controlling effect, HM activation (or at least the abilities for the anime's sake) or increasing stats (which I still don't understand how this is possible).

Yes, In the episode where Aipom entered a contest with Ash, he said something like, I'm gonna beat this contest and then get a gym badge and im gonna win the Sinnoh Leauge and the Grand Festival! It wasnnt exactly like that but it was something like that
 
I doubt it because those 99 wins were from villagers and wild pokemon I think. Plus I don't think the match with the dragon master gym leader was a gym match.
 
It could be a possibility, but Iris is too unexperienced to acquire 7 Gym Badges, in my opinion.
 
I read the name of the thread and I thought there where prove for this! My heart stopped! It would be stupid for her not to mention it! and all of the sudden when they arrive in Opelucid city oh I wanna challenge Drayden and win my 8 badge! And i think that Iris was just challenging trainers in her Dragon village! where she met Drayden!
 
If Iris actually had seven badges, don't you think that the gym leaders in the Unova region would have recognized her by now? Iris won those 99 battles prior to her leaving the Village of Dragons for training.
 
When Iris left the Dragon Village, the only Pokemon she had were an Excadrill who wouldn't listen and an Axew who wasn't developed as a fighter. Not a good badge-winning team.

But, no I don't think she has 7 badges on her, otherwise, the gym leaders would've recognized her like the other guys above me has said. But, she could be the succeeding 8th gym leader for a retiring Drayden
 
for the ppl who said gyms would've recognized her, there are more than 8 gyms in a reigon.
 
for a little girl to get 7 badge with one pokemon, that is stupid
yeah she won 99 battle so what , those 99 people were probably weak local trainer
Plus What if she won a tournament, Most local tournament attend by weak & local trainer and Unprofessional trainer so just cause Iris won some tournament does not mean She already became strong enough to get 7 badge
Gym leader & Gym challenger are different type of trainer ,They are not at the same level of those Weakink Iris beat When she was Child
So I don't think there could be a Surprise twist of Iris already having 7 Badge with a Disobidient Exadrill & Bady Axnew
 
Interesting twist, but very unlikely.
I mean, I don't think she has the skill really to even obtain seven; and you could have 99 wins without battling any gyms. Her Excadrill is alright, but it didn't evolve into an Excadrill until the 99th win, so I don't think it would have been powerful enough to take the gyms on, and Kibago definitely wouldn't have been.
As others have said, she seemed too young in the flashback, and no Gym leader seems to have known her from before.

Not if Excadrill wouldn't listen and Axew couldn't beat Scraggy back then.
 
99 wins could easily mean 99 Patrat.

If Iris had 7 badges, she'd be able to beat Scraggy.
 
There's no evidence that she even left Opelucid City before she obtained her Axew.
