This just came to after catching the Red Gyarados at Lake of Rage.(I only got the game Thursday, don't make fun of my slowness.)

Easy enough to catch, but, when I check it out: a MILD nature, as well as the fact that it likes to relax. Goodness gracious, if that's the case, then wh was it causing all the ruckus, even if was forced to evolve?

My Victreebel is both Docile and likes to thrash about, a Pidgeot that likes to run (wtf?), and both my Gentle Dragonite and Sassy Ampharos are impetuous and silly.

However, my Typhlosion is calm and proud of his power, a combination that just shouts badass in my mind.

I've had quite a few like that.

Here's the best one in my HeartGold, on a random Natu I caught for Dex Completion:

MILD Nature
Likes to fight.

Hahahaaahhhhaaaaa......Oh, Nintendo.

The event Arceus I got last month was Gentle, which amused me; the most insanely overpowered Pokemon in existence, but it's really not all that interested in fighting, thank you very much.

My Slowking being quirky isn't all that weird

But it's, "Quick tempered," portion is.

Although not ironic, I got a redundancy on Lugia while HR'ing.

It was RELAXED and the characteristic was Likes to relax.

Considering that its probably based of this, its not actually ironic.

My female starter typholsion is Timid and Mischievous. I got a sneaky bitch as my partner. XD

Was the forest god in Princess Mononoke based on that too? Because Arceus has always reminded me of the forest god from Princess Mononoke.

My ho-oh is somewhat vain but yet bashful :L

There are a couple that are obvious.

My Makuhita likes to fight.
My geodude has a sturdy body.

This is not irony. This is incongruity. Irony requires more: the incongruous expectations must lead to some sort of unexpected result. For example, if Team Rocket were after the red Gyarados *specifically* because it was violent and vicious (rather than as a proof of concept for the evolution inducement device).

Dude, it's a Gyarados. They're all raging psychopathic serpants.

An Igglybuff thats capable of taking hits.
A Giratina thats Impetuous and silly.
A Jolly Gyrados.

My Furret - Modest Nauture, Thoroughly Cunning

My Poliwhirl - Gentle Nature, Hates to lose

My Bellsprout - Careful Nature, Often scatters things - now how is that careful?

Red Garaydos - Often doses of. Given they usually like to trash about and destroy things,, yeah...I'll destroy everyhing...let me nap first!

doing this made me look at my dex, and i realized half my pokemon are Hardy
