Although I’m excited about the Paldea arc that will be coming soon, I’ll be very sad once Journeys ends. I love the Journeys series so far. I love how this show went against the usual formula of Ash earning eight badges (I know Sun and Moon broke the trend, but still).

I disliked Goh at first, but his character grew on me when he started going through character development. He went from being apathetic to others to being empathetic. He captured a lot of Pokémon and he went out of his way to form bonds with them as well.

I also loved that a lot of old characters returned in this series (even though Cynthia did overstay her return IMO). It was nice to see Iris and Serena return because they both didn’t get to return after their respective series ended. I’m not a fan of Serena, but she did get some depth after she came back. With Iris, I loved how she returned as the champion and how much she improved as a trainer (the only thing I didn’t like was that she didn’t get any on-screen wins). It was awesome to see the Sun & Moon gang return as well without it feeling like it was forced.

So yes I will be sad when the series ends. What do you guys think?

I’m also happy that Team Yell didn’t appear consistently, as I found them irritating in the games.

One of the biggest flaws about this arc is that the Galar Pokémon should have been displayed more.

EDIT: The only thing I’m glad that I may (and I’ll say “may” because I don’t know what will happen) never see again, is James’ Morpeko. I have never hated any of Team Rocket’s Pokémon until I saw this little s*** appear. I would rather see Goh’s Grookey return than James’ Morpeko.

I'm genuinely happy its ending soon and we have a chance to start fresh. The series has been an absolute trainwreck with many issues plaguing it. From Galar's treatment, to Pokemon screentime, to Goh, to Chloe's story, very mid battles, and the way the PWC was handled. To me, Journeys only huge real huge redeeming factor has been the continuity and all the returns. I just hope SV's series is better.

Journeys is a mixed bag. It has great highs, but also very disappointing lows, the latter I personally find has too many to list. I won't say good riddance to bad rubbish, but I won't lie and say I'm not more excited waiting for SV's announcement and trailer than I am for a good chunk of the upcoming episodes.

They really did ruin James' Morpeko. That little rodent must be severely malnourished since it's always "hangry" 90% of the time. It hasn't done a single thing other than to cause problems to Team Rocket and violently eat everything in sight. I'm glad they gave Marnie a Morpeko too, at least we get to see a version in the anime that acts normal.

I’m very sad about the Journeys series ending. I loved it to be honest. I wish Team Rocket had more screen time throughout, but we got a lot of quality moments with them throughout.

Dawn’s return throughout was amazing.

I’m excited for the new series and for what art style will be used but I am a bit nostalgic with this series.

Nope. I didn't even watch it. I had very little interest after finding out we weren't getting a traditional Sword and Shield series, so I'm happy this whatever the heck it was will be over soon. I can only pray that we will actually get a traditional Scarlet and Violet based anime after Journeys ends. I would like to see Ash (or anyone for that matter) traveling a new region, and building a team of new Pokemon, and meeting new characters from the new games.

Despite how frustrating the series can be, I do like Journeys. I like the characters, most episodes are pretty enjoyable, there have been some good battles and most of the character returns have been pretty cool from what I've seen. I love Goh and while there are plenty of legit criticisms about his character and storyline, I still think he's one of the highlights of the series. Same with Chloe. I do wish that they actually did more with Chloe beyond Eevee evolution episodes, but at the same time, most of her episodes were still pretty good and wanting a character to have more screentime isn't necessarily the worst problem to have either.

I'm not happy about the series ending since I do like it, but at the same time, I am eager for the next series that will hopefully be set in Paldea. As much as I like Goh and Chloe, I think having new characters in the cast to bounce off with Ash and have new storylines would be potentially refreshing at this point too. I want the anime to focus primarily on the new games instead of putting them on the side like they did with Sword/Shield.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. And just hope what comes next is better. It HAS to be!

At the very least it should be even. And Arceus help us all if it's any worse...

The sad part is that things I thought would help didn't help at all.
I thought that the world traveling would fill the void of not traveling Galar...and then they ended up spending whole episodes in Kanto--mainly Vermillion City & Cerise Park--with a number of trips to other regions doing nothing with said region's features or characters (Hoenn getting the worst of it).
I thought the PWC would make up for the lack of a Badge Quest...only for it to go on the backburner for months at time, with a bunch of unsatisfying battles. I especially didn't enjoy Ash jobbing fools in minutes during most of the Normal class. The hot mess that is the Master's 8 feels like they made it up on the spot. Especially with breaks and clipshows killing any and all momentum or hype.
I thought Project Mew would help with Goh...but it was too spread out and too underwhelming and when things picked up it was too late. And there's no way it can have a satisfying conclusion at this point.
Heck, I even thought Chloe getting Eevee would give her a boost...but she was STILL an honorary companion at best with a half-baked attempt a storyline that ends as disappointing and anti-climactic as it started.
Even the returning characters don't do it for me part of the time. Like how Butch & Cassidy were underused and underwhelming, how Mewtwo wasn't even half his return episode (even if there were extenuating circumstances), and how some game characters were STILL glorified COTDs.

So yeah, I can't wait for this mess to be over with and move one to something hopefully better...:p

In Paul's training I was hyped for a sec and since then It is getting realy hard to swallow... right now I want it to end no mater whats in the end. I even ok with Ash not getting the final challenge and try again to challenge Leon next year (worst writing)

Don't be silly. It isn't ending just because another region will be added to the mix.

This isn't any proof journeys is continuing. I see it ending. This is just merch they are releasing late as of now. It's not like they can just reveal the new characters on a calender

Personally I'm glad journeys is ending. The pwc is wasted potential (I am excited for ash vs Cynthia, and ash vs Leon). I don't care much about goh or project mew (but he isn't a bad character) and Chloe is absolutely boring. Also just found ash team here so under developed. I'm ready for new series already

At this point, I won't mind Ash beating Cynthia. Cynthia has never lost a battle on-screen, so I hope Ash will be the first one to defeat her on-screen. I also won't mind Ash losing to Leon and starting fresh in another region. Ash may be a Champion, but he still has a long way to go if he wants to be a Pokemon master.

I'm just hoping that they won't ever repeat the no female main character mistake Journeys made.
To be honest, I be forgetting about Chloe sometimes. Journeys did screw up by not having a main female character. I don't really care for Chloe due to her arc not being fleshed out more. I like Goh, but I have absolutely no interest in his Project Mew arc either.

Where's the proof that it's ending? Do we know that Ash will battle Leon, let alone defeat him? Why isn't Mew in the opening?
I'm not sure where your getting at

I see it ending for multiple reasons. The pwc not continue, project mew not continuing, koharu not even being a main character, why would goh dump scorebunny or any of his starters. His gotta catch em all goal being out in the background and not working at all in the anime etc..

I can't see any reason why it has to continue

This is the 2020 calendar that they revealed in September 2019.

The calendar Silktree posted comes out this November and has the PM logo on it. Normally when a new series is about the start, the old merchandise line usually ends in the summer. But so far we have seen several fall products with the PM logo on it.
