If the anime goes to Johto how many of you are going to miss Sinnoh. I might a little bit but not that much. Oh and even in the games because i'm probably going to play HGSS more then DPPt. So i might too.

Nah. Sinnoh's fine, but it had its time to shine, and HGSS making us go back to Johto is the perfect way to smooth things over between the regions.

The transitions where Ash and friends went from the old region to a different place and THEN to the new region made it better. Which is part of the reason AG's beginning really shook me.

...the other part was that ASH HADN'T EVEN GOTTEN TO BLACKTHORN IN THE DUB WHEN RS CAME OUT but that's another story. If Johto and Hoenn had been separated by a filler season, they could've had LESS CRAP in the middle and gotten Johto done faster, then the dumping of his team would've been less... sudden.

Hoenn and Kanto, and now Sinnoh as well, have a filler post-league season to bring the YAY RBY/YAY RSE/YAY DPPt overtones in the anime down a notch before going for the next one. Johto it went from YAY GSC in one episode to YAY RSE in the next, pretty much, and was a giant middle finger to Ash's underdeveloped Johto team.

...though hey, can't blame them so badly, I just replayed Gold and still had a Quilava when I arrived in Blackthorn. Damn underleveled Johto.

So will I miss Sinnoh? Nope. I'm not glad it's over, but I'm not mad either. They showcased some of the best of the region's Pokémon this time around (seriously, freaking Gliscor? DUDE.) instead of the "HEY LOOK STARTERS" thing they had in Kanto, Johto, AND Hoenn. I mean, sure, Ash's Hoenn team showcased some interesting Gen III Pokémon, but... they were pretty "eh" as far as in-game usage.

A little bit, but for me this series has been more of a build up..so I'm not really going to miss it. Not saying it was bad, on the contrary, IMO it's the best yet.

All sagas end eventually.

Sinnoh is going to be the longest region in the anime by the time it ends, so it is time for a change of pace.

I'll be glad to see Sinnoh go. I wouldn't mind going through Kanto a THIRD time, as long as it's with Misty or May.

It was the saga that got me in to Pokemon, so yeah, I'll miss it. But I'm also looking forward to some "new" surroundings.

I really would not. All the regions are almost exactly the same with the exception of the towns. Even those are very similar. It's not the region that matters, but what the characters do in it.

Well when you look at it from the COTD and towns perspective..when we get to filler arc land after Shinou it will still feel like Shinou...XD

I've only ever missed Kanto. Because it's awesome as a region 8D I only really care about the characters. As long as Satoshi and TR aren't somehow left behind in Shinou I'll miss nothing.

Nope. I can't wait to see Ash having a new team (without a normal flying bird for a change). Altough Ash does need to get a torterra before Sinnoh ends (to get him over his low speed issue, because he then can really use defense)

Personally, I think Sinnoh was a joke. They probably threw it together just so they had an anime. This may not be your opinion, but a lot of the Sinnoh episodes felt like they were created in 3 hours.
So no, I will not miss Sinnoh.

Yeah, since the writers put actual effort into it. Granted, they put actual effort into Houen too, but they put more actual effort into Shinou. Especially as far as Ash's journey is concerned; Paul was the first actual rival Ash has ever had, outside of league rivals(and Gary, if you count showing up once a season and fighting Ash twice over the course of five years as a "rival"), Barry's pretty hilarious(although he was introduced a bit late), the gym battles have all been pretty interesting and show Ash using actual strategy(and often remembering what's worked for him before and using that tactic again), and his Pokemon have all gotten fair amounts of screentime(unlike even houen, where Corphish was stuck in comic relief hell, Torkoal was a joke, and Glalie was brought in way too late for its own good). Shinou's also done a really good job of cutting the crap for the most part; lots of what would have been forgettable fillers were instead interesting multi-part eps(even if those arcs didn't necessarily advance the plot in any way. See:The summer school arc), they actually did something with the E4 this time around, and TG...hasn't been handled the best, but the writers have done better to them than they ever did with TM/TA. The only sour point with me is how poorly Dawn's contests have been handled; none of her rivals are interesting at all, it's almost too late to introduce someone like Harley who would spice up the contests a bit, and the writers have just plain failed at making me interested in the contest arc this time around. Kudos for trying to make Jessie a credible prescence in the contest circuit, but that doesn't really seem to be going anywhere anymore.

Granted, unless the writers all have a stroke at the same time Gen 5 should be at least as good as Shinou was, but Gen 4 will still have a place in my heart as the place where the writers collective finished pulling their heads out of their asses and made giant improvments over what AG started(aside from the contests. I'll just pretend that DP had no contests, and AG was the only contest arc that ever was).

Didyou see Yesterday's episode Another one Gabite the Dust, Ursula is exactly like Harley.

But she's probably a one shot.

I'll miss everything but the contest arc. If they can have the same writing ability in the 5th Gen, and improve the contests by AG standards, then maybe I'd rank it over DP when the time comes.

I'm going to miss it at first but i think ill be ok after about 2 months of the new saga.

You guys do realize the next arc will feel exactly the same as Sinnoh?

It'll use the same cast, (Ash/Dawn/Brock), Ash, Dawn and TR will use mostly the same Sinnoh Pokemon with only a few changes, Zoey/Kenny will be back, and most likely Barry will.

I think the only change we're getting is possibly the wrap-up of Paul in the Sinnoh league. Otherwise the next arc is going to feel almost exactly the same as Sinnoh.

We can't guarantee the cast will be the same. Actually, it's unlikely that it will.

But you're right; the next arc will feel exactly the same.
