Is anyone sad about leaving Johto/HGSS behind?

To me, the original Gold and Silver were and still are my all-time favorite games. The Kanto and Johto regions are still my favorite two regions to date. And while I was excited about the release of Ruby and Sapphire back in 2003, I soon came to realize that I truly missed the older two regions, trainers, storyline, and Pokemon. Now, looking forward to Black and White, the Isshu Region, and the supposed "rebirth" of Pokemon, and despite my avid excitement and anticipation for Generation V, it makes me wonder if we'll ever return to Johto and/or Kanto one day. Will we have to wait another ten years?

So do any of you share my feelings about Johto or G/S/C/HG/SS, or disagree? Do you think we'll see Johto again in the near future, or will we have to wait another decade or so?

I don't know about seeing it again soon, but I'm always excited for a new region. I like Johto, but I like to see new things too.

yes its been a good run there but me,my party all my pokemon in my pc know that we must move on one day some have, some of my newer pokemon dont know what its like.

soon they will be leaving these great lands for a new world.

Shoutouts to the region will still exist in future games, but I'm ready to move on. I got the remakes I wanted, now I want the future.

i am sad i thiught hgss was going to have a sequel but then i rember firered and leaf green none ethier i was really hoping for mind crystal one last time foe team rocket but hey tr might be in isshu or return someday

I still miss Johto, as HGSS are just a memory relapse; they haven't provided a sense of exploring the region from a new perspective, let alone coming full circle.

If Johto made an appearance in another game would they have to include Kanto too?

Anyway, Johto will be deeply missed. Still the best region out there with the best pokemon too.

I'll miss johto for a while, it's always been one of my favorits if not the best of all time

Should I feel badly by saying no, I'm not sad about it. The games were good and enjoyable, but it's time for us to move past the Johto/Kanto area and onto new and better things.

Johto is and always will be my favorite region. I'll continue playing my SS until the next remakes come out, whenever that may be, just like I did with my Crystal. But now it's back to lecturing kids about how awesome Johto was. :bawl:

I won't be sad about leaving them behind. I still have a long way to go in HG/SS (since I lost my first copy of HG; now I have to do it over again). I can always play both B/W and HG/SS.

ill play all my games, Ruby, Pearl, HeartGold and Black/white when it comes out

I am not exactly sure how are we leaving a place behind when we (in the games) are still the same place. Whenever I am in a new place (I am looking at Isshu), I would embrace the place, but I don't really miss any previous places, because after all, you can return there by playing the same games, right?

Of course I will miss it. It's where I began my Pokemon journey 10 years ago. I'd of liked for HGSS to have worked through the regions in diferent way, but I guess as remakes, they were pretty loyal to the original.

Not really. They were good games and I had fun playing them, but it is time to move on. Black and White are bound to be way better games anyway.

The only thing I'll really miss is Sinnoh/Platinum... :[

Why would someone miss it? You've just got a new game to add to your collection (BW), you're not trading it over for a Gen IV game.
