Am I missing something, or is this the first Pokemon generation with no new Trainer Types?

Have there been Waitor and Waitress already? And there seemed to be an explorer, though it may be a ruin maniac. And Cowboy and Cowgirl. And then there are the Cooltrainers snow route variety. And maybe Pikachu-suit kid. And the miner, though he may be an electrician.

I think you're wrong. In the art I found trainer sprites of farmers and restaurant waiters, and also clowns (but they might be the Fire Breathers from GSC, there's a strong resemblence)

What I'm more curious about is the classes of the trainers you ally with for tag battles/the Battle Tower. Does it just say, for instance, "Gen sent out Lucario," or does he have a class?

There have been waitors before? From which game?

Oh, wait, nevermind, I get what you were trying to say.

I think the clowns count as a new class. Unless class is a different term from type, such as an "entertainer" class including the types juggler, firebreather and clown, and a children class with youngsters, lasses, ninja, etc.

No, no, we get Galactic Grunts.

But in all seriousness, we get new ones each generation, and this is no different. Heck, didn't we get Artist or whatever it is just in FRLG?

Really? Does anyone have pictures of the new trainers? Bulbapedia only has DP ones from the trainer types from the old games up and no new articles, so I assumed there were none.

Hey, check out the credit tag on that sheet. XD

But yeah, waiters weren't in previous gens.
