This is just a prediction I came up with after seeing the new Pokemon theme song "The Greatest - Everyday!". I think once Ash gets his 8th badge and finds out when the next Pokemon Leauge will start he will challenge the Sinnoh Battle Frontier before going to the Pokemon Leauge if there is plenty of time. Note that after Ash receive his 8th badge from Juan in Hoenn Juan's butler said "the next Hoenn Leauge Championship is scheduled to commence 3 months from now" in the episode Eight Ain't Enough, meaning if the Sinnoh Leauge commences 3-4 months after Ash receives his 8th badge from Volkner he has time to challenge the Sinnoh Battle Frontier even with Dawns upcoming Grand Festival there is still plenty of time since Dawn will probably get her 5th Ribbon on episode DP162 so she doesn't have to worry about qualifying. Since there are only 5 Battle Frontier Facilities in Sinnoh the writers could do the Frontier fillers before the Pokemon Leauge instead of the Battle Frontier going after the Pokemon Leauge ends. By doing this it gives Ash's Monferno and Grotle to evolve instead of rushing it. (I read a few post saying its ok to rush through Monferno's evolution, now they dont have to.) Gible also has more time to train with Ash to perfect its move Draco Meteor and gain valuable experience. This also lets Jessie catch up so that she can gain the 2 Contest Ribbons she needs in order to participate in the Grand Festival. With the theme song showing us Ash's old Pokemon Muk, Snorlax, Bayleef, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Noctowl, Donphan, Corphish, Torkoal and Glalie. I think he is going to use these Pokemon to battle with in the Sinnoh Battle Frontier and probably in the Sinnoh Leauge seeing as they are seen together with Ash facing his Sinnoh Rivals. I know since Hoenn that Ash only uses the Pokemon he captures in that Region to be used in that Region's Pokemon Leauge, but since theme songs always shows spoilers for future episodes Ash will probably use his old Pokemon that are shown in the theme song for the Sinnoh Leauge as subs. (In the game the Battle Frontier is in close proximity with each other so I think the writers will probably keep it that way in the anime so that Ash doesn't have to travel far to reach each Facilities saving him time and giving him time before the Pokemon Leauge starts).
