hey guys, so i recently got two awesome pokemon off of a trade just recently and it was pretty cool from what i got for them. One of them is a lvl 100 darkrai that i got for a TRU Regigigas and a lvl 100 Shiny Dialga that i traded a shiny Uxie for. although they look legit and everything i have small doubt that they are. I cant really find info on the darkrai you get in game but here is there info, and hopefully someone can spot is they are real or not

Darkrai
-Caught With Masterball
-OT-Austin (person i got it from)

-Caught Date- Sep. 5, 2007
-Careful Nature
-Apparently met at lvl 40
Ability -Bad Dream

They sound legit, although they might be hacked to look legit, so I guess you can never be sure.
 
That darkrai is either hacked, or caught with a hacked members pass. The date, 2007, doesn't correspond with platinum's members pass event, the only legit way to get a darkrai with a masterball.
 
is it possible to get darkrai from diamond/pearl? did they ever have a member pass or event then?

Isn't there a glitch that lets you get to that Darkrai without the pass? Does that still count as hacked?

Yes there is. It's very difficult and it threatens your save data, but there is a way. It only works in Diamond and Pearl though, but it must have been caught in Diamond or Pearl since Platinum was not out in 2007.

If the person pulled it off, then it's legit. I doubt it though. Seriously, seriously doubt it.
 
You know, the date does not tell anything and it never has. I can set my DS to year 2002 and catch a Pokémon, which will then get a capture date on that year.

E: ...except if it's from an event you have to travel to, of course. I reckon they force you to have the correct date on your DS, amirite?

About that glitch, it involves moving in circles in jubilife, and it only works in D/P.

No upcoming events as far as I'm aware, but that Darkrai seems legit.

The glitch was discovered before July 31, 2007, so the date would be fine.

Not for TRU events.
 
You can also get a darkrai in d/p without tweaking by HACKING A MEMBERS PASS. I'm guessing that that's how yours was caught. whether you think that makes it legit or not is up to you.
 
it ight be possible that its a plantium darkria and the guy just had it set for 2007, but its highly unlikly. even if it is unless the darkria is causing problems theres no reason for consern, am i right?
 
That Darkrai was caught with a hacked member's pass because the distribution of the member pass for D/P has not been announced yet.
