Is it really worth the money?

I think so, yes. Especially if you were a fan of the original Gold and Silver. I know I haven't regretted my purchase.

You're on a Pokemon forum, everyone will say yes.

[sarcasm]No! I hate it! Every minute of it just sucks the life out of me and makes me want to bash my head into a wall rather than force myself to play this game more.[/sarcasm]

Not where I live. But hey, if you're in the US, you won't have to deal with the outrageous 65 Dollars price I'd have to pay if I actually wanted to buy this.

But even in $40... is it worth it? I'd say if you liked GSC or have never played them, it's worth it. More if you never played them, though.

It's definitely worth the money. There's so much to do and it actually does take a while to complete so they've really worked their little socks off for our cash on this one. It's taken me a couple of months and I'm almost finished, but I haven't gotten bored. It isn't mind blowing entertainment, but true to it's reputation it Is a huge improvement on previous games, probably the best one I've played so far.

I'd say get it, but if you're unsure get an emulator or borrow a copy off a friend and see if it grabs you.

Honestly if you have the money to spend and want to re-live the moments of Gen II or if you never had a chance to play any of the Gen II games but what to have that experience...just in higher quality then go for it. However if you're thinking of spending the money on something more important then spend it on that or save up money and when you have enough, purchase the games. I wouldn't recommend buying both because I personally don't see a point.

:p Hope I helped or something.

Of course HG/SS is worth it! After all, they're the remakes everyone was waiting for.

It was worth every bit. I played the origionals, and I still think that HG is the best pokemon game I have played so far. Even if you want to look at it in dollar per hour terms, you will play for more than 40 hours to complete the entire adventure, so you really get your moneys worth.

Yes, it's worth it. What else did you expect us to say?

It's worth it if you like the Pokemon games overall.

Definitely a step up from the original Gold and Silver, and if you liked those you will like Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions so much better.

The extra surcharge for the PokeWalker may seem the price seem a bit steep but in the end it is worth it.

If you have any questions about the games though, feel free to ask.

I would say yes. I like pokemon and it is enjoyable in a competetive and casual aspect.

Yes, by all means. Go get the online Walmart version with the mini-fig and the cool black pokewalker cover for the same price as you'd pay normally. OR, save cash and get it slightly cheeper at Amazon.

Ya, I have 400+ hours logged on my HG version and 60+ hours on my SS version. You need to buy BOTH versions IF you can. My first pokewalker broke (so I bought SS) and I never really cared too much, I could still get items, it just didn't count steps (but strangely I still got watts)

I played the originals like 10 times each, so I see no need in buying the newer versions. They won't be much extras, just an expanded storyline and better graphics. Buying them would just be too repetitive for me, I don't like going back to past games.

You don't need to buy both. They're the same game and the only differences in them are the occasional different types (like getting Growlithe in HG and Vulpix in SS).

So you don't NEED to buy BOTH. I have SS and my fiance has HG so I'm able to get those pokemon I don't have. tada.

If you want it, buy it. If you don't want it don't buy it.
