Is Jasmine too obscure in the anime to reappear at Sunyshore?

In the games, Jasmine reappears at Sunyshore and is also a coordinator. Do you think the writers will have her appear or just ignore her?

In the anime Jasmine is a rather obscure character, she was only in 2 episodes that aired way back in early 2002, so its been way over 7-8 years since she was seen or mentioned in the anime.

Do you think she is too obscure a character in the anime-universe to warrent a reappearance at Sunyshore, especially since most people probably don't even remember Jasmine's episodes whatsoever?
 
Jasmine is just about as "accessable" to fans as any Gym Leader (Or any named character for that matter). It isn't likely that the fandom will develop amnesia over a single character. Besides, people who've played Diamond and Pearl would know who she is otherwise because you encounter her and you need to talk to her to get an essential TM to complete the game.

However, it probably isn't likely she'll appear because TMs don't exist in the anime.

I can see Jasmine will appear as coordinator in Dawn's last Contest. Especially if that Contest will be in Sunyshore, but Anime writers can not limit themselves to copy games exactly, so they can put her somewhere else. They can also put her into Grand Festival.
 
I want HER to appear. Better for Dawn to compete in a contest where it wasn't an anime-only location (since she will probably miss the Suiren Contest according to recent episodes; it is near Snowpoint City yet she somehow goes to Twinleaf by DP138). Also, better for her to battle an important character rather than some filler character. Mamoswine VS Steelix all the way, but it could very well be Piplup/Buneary VS some random GSC pokemon for all we know.
Will she? I doubt it- she's too obscure in the anime. She only appeared in like 2-3 episodes out of 600.
 
I dont want her to appear. I know, everybody loves Jasmine, but I sure dont. Sorry fans, just saying.

And since she wouldnt have much of a purpose too... Unless she's the new Scott and will invite Ash to the Battle Frontier.
 
I think that it is possible for Jasmine to reappear at Sunyshore or another part of Sinnoh. While she hasn't been shown in the series since 2002, that doesn't mean that no one would understand why she would reappear. The kids who have played Diamond, Pearl and/or Platinum will know who she is because she gives you an important HM after getting the last badge. Obviously, she wouldn't be giving Ash an HM since they, along with TMs, don't seem to exist in the anime series, but I could see her appearing in a Contest. Fantina is able to travel around a lot doing her own special training, so it doesn't seem like it would be too hard for other Gym Leaders to travel if they wanted to.

Even if the kids watching haven't played the recent games, I don't think that it's really necessary for them to know about Jasmine. If or when Ash and his friends see her, they'll just introduce her as one of the eight Gym Leaders from Johto that Ash defeated in the past. Besides, they have made references to past Gym Leaders in different sagas before, such as Chuck in AG and Juan in DP, so the writers don't necessarily need to have gym leaders appear in the games in order to make them appear again in the series.
 
Dawn vs Jasmine at the Grand Festival. Just saying.
 
I don't know, but it'd be great to have Jasmine in Sinnoh's Grand Festival, althoug I highly doubt it.
 
She will probably appear because it's a plot outline that's already been handed to the writer's, thereby making their jobs easier. It also has the benefit of tying DP to HGSS.

Who knows? If they did do this, there's a decent chance that they'll throw in a flashback involving Cyndaquil vs Steelix.

4? Zoey, Kenny, Nando and... Even if I try hard, I can't come with anyone else. Or do you seriously think Jessie has some chance to get 5 Ribbons? No way! Only if she'll steal them. Which is not impossible, but when was last time JJM succeed with this?

I was going to say Ursula, but we don't know if she's going to come back.
 
I think Ursula is a chracter we might see again even if she doesn't she'll probably just make a cameo watching the grand festival
 
Jasmine is in Diamond and Pearl. Therefore, it would not be out of the question to see her play a part in the anime's storyline, even for one episode. It's especially possible considering HeartGold and SoulSilver.
 
IMO the chances are 50/50...
She is in the games so it's not like the writers will just pull her out of nowhere... and if we have Mamoswine vs. Steelix...lol!

But I'd prefer her to be in the last contest Dawn enters not in the GF...I want Marina to be in the GF.
 
It would be good if she was competing on the GF.
 
They'll ignore her.

Making her reappear is not much different than having some random Johto COtD appear, in the animators' mind.

Also, anime usually ignores such appearances.
