Ground Zeroes got delayed where I live. I was wondering for those who have had the chance to play the game, do you think it's worth buying?

I know the campaign is short, but is there enough replay value in your opinion to warrant the purchase?

oh and no spoilz please! :bash:

I don't have any consoles that could play Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zero, so I don't really have a say. $5-10 would be a reasonable price for a game that can take a few hours to beat. $30-40 dollars is definitely pushing it, and I don't want to encourage such behavior for the gaming industry.

I think Angry Joe says it best in his review. I don't know if you like him or not, but his reasonings are well-grounded and well-thought:

Eh too late now lol. I ended up buying it and regretting my purchase shortly after. I knew of the short campaign already but the replay value was strongly exaggerated in most reviews. I should have rented it. This glorified demo costs $40 dollars in Australia and in my opinion it isn't worth the money. And that's coming from a huge Metal Gear fan.

Kojima really screwed us with this one.

Oh, sorry that I made this post too late. I just happened to found it while browsing through forum. In any case though, it seems that your opinion is very similar to Angry Joe's. If you want honest reviews when it comes to games, I recommend this guy. Despite being fanboyish at times during previews of Titanfall or Metal Gear, he knows where the values are at and would not let any bias get in his way of his scoring.

Haha don't worry man, no one is obligated to post in a thread. I was just saying that it was too late for me to buy something else. I let the Metal Gear fanboy in me cloud my judgment and buy a game that I knew wouldn't be worth the money.

As for Angry Joe, I find him to be obnoxious quite honestly. Half of his videos seem to be annoying skits instead of him actually talking about the game. And when he does talk about whatever game he's reviewing it usually feels like he's being contrary for the sake of being contrary.

There's not many video game reviewers that I trust at the end of the day.

Well then, the best advice I could bring then is to not get caught up in the hype and buy games on your own terms. It worked for me in the past few years. I don't really pay attention to the hype of any games, I just buy them when I feel that it's worth the time and money.
