Nando isn't dead.

That is all.

What with the whole Johto promotion thing going on, I don't think we'll see Nando again.

At least not until the Grand Festival/League Tournament, anyway :p

Until the Grand Festival in Sinnoh, we won't see Nando again. Even then, it's highly likely he'll make a minor appearance there.
Think about it: during the Wallace Cup arc (can't remember which episode), there were some scenes that showed May and Dawn's major rivals watching the cup, except Nando.
Not much proof, but hey, it's there.

He was caught in the same Chancey stampede that killed Lorelei , Agatha, and Leaf.

Jokes aside, he was a boring character and I really don't mind that he fell off the face on the Earth.

yes he's dead. But since it's a childrens show they'll never admit it.

Did you guys miss DP126?

In that episode his death was announced on television. He was found in a bush near Sunyshore City, dead of being impaled with a Boring Personality with "Kengo" written on it.

There are a lot of characters from the start of DP that disappeared as it progressed.

Gary has been MIA since Gligar evolved. Apparently the writers brought Gary back in the show for a grand total of 2 episodes out of 150+ episode arc.

Then there is Holly, who is probably not returning at this point. I also think Conway and Angie are probably done too.

That's the problem of putting too many recurring characters into the same region.

He isn't dead (as if people actually die in this show), but we haven't seen him since DP106 (as cameo).

Wow, a joke Zeta made that I spread seems to be becoming a meme...

He's not interesting so I wish he was dead but he is probably alive and well.:(

By the way I have to ask why it took him so long to start being a coordinator and challenging gyms, isn't he an adult or at least in his late teens? If he is he would have had many years to finish these goals or at least be high up there in contests and battling.

So, any victims confirmed for 2009's stampede?
I heard it was intense. Worse than last year.

In all seriousness though, I don't think the writers give a rat's ass about Nando at this point. In comparison to Zoey/Kenny who are Dawn's main rivals, Nando is probably just there to swipe the GF win and be on his fruity way.

Soooo... pretty much the male version of Solidad?

They always have an older, more mature character win the Grand Festival.

If they don't have Nando win, they'd have to create an all-new character simply to win the trophy. Most likely Nando will return for the Grand Festival. At the pace Sinnoh is going, it'll be another 25 or so eps before we even get to the Grand Festival.

Nando isn't dead... He will probably show up to win the GF and then attend a never ending victory party with Robert and Solidad (Did we ever see any of those two again?) and be forgotten about. I actually kinda liked him, but I only saw 2 episodes with him in it...

He was only in 3 episodes with a speaking role. They were all relatively close together at the start of DP too.

Once the tag battle arc started, the DP saga focused on different things. Its almost as if the first part of DP is very different from the second part.

Has anyone thought he is probably a COTD,he is just like any other coordinator that's just there for a single contest ,then disappears.
May's unimportant rivals were mentioned during the first GF,so saying that Nando was mentioned recently doesn't make him more important than any other Coordinator who isn't a regular rival of May/Dawn.
