Is something wrong with my Black 2?

Okay, so I booted up Black 2 and began training the Tepig I got on the GTS to help my Unova dex. But something weird started happening. The gameplay is being a little laggy in battles. And it's kind of irritating. This game only just came out last October, I hope nothing is wrong with it!

Or maybe it's my DS Lite? It is kind of old by now...

Anyone else have the same or a similar problem?

EDIT: Now the lag is happening on menu screens too. >.>

I encounter laggy moments too, but only when my game is connected to the internet. Gets irritating especially when using the GTS; it takes a couple minutes just to load search results and a couple more to see if a trade can be performed. And let's not forget how it takes a couple minutes just to connect to Nintendo Wi-Fi!

Otherwise, my game's fine.

Well, I'm not using the internet on the game right now, since my DS Lite isn't compatible with our router's settings. The lag is getting worse too, it's started happening while moving my character now. -_-
