Is there a thread for claiming non Pokemon characters?

For the most part! We have one for Video Game characters, and another for Anime/Manga characters.

They're respectively in The Arcade and My Neighbor Bulbasaur sections in contrast to other Pokémon claims threads being in General Pokémon Discussion, so I understand if they may have been a little under the radar for you

I'm not inherently against it i'd just worry about people submitting anime and game characters to the list and for example person A having claimed a character in the anime list while person B claims the same character in the general list and it seems like it'd be a lot of work to cross check everything for no duplicates. Maybe a TV and Movies and/or Book character list might be a good compromise as that encompasses most characters types we don't already have covered by existing lists? Just throwing out ideas! I'd like to hear what other people think too!
 
I'd be fully onboard with what WholesomeCryptid proposed!

Instead of making a general fiction character claim thread — which in my opinion is bound to muddy the waters and create chaos when it comes to characters who overlap across different types of media — it works best to have separate categories for books and movies. Though in the latter's case, we will probably have to exclude or consider reorganizing characters from anime movies in particular, as some of them might already have been claimed in the Official Animanga Character Claim thread :hmm:
