I'm new to this whole team building thing outside of just using my favorite Pokes in game, but I'd like to get into this now and test my skills. The team is for 6v6, mostly for playing friends or random people online. I try to avoid the Uber teir and legendary pokes. I haven't had a chance to use this team in battle. I just finished getting them their appropriate egg moves, IV breeding and EV training. Next is leveling them up and getting their TM/Lvl moves. Any suggestions or maybe experience people have had with my particular pokes would be appreciated!
Ferrothorn @Iron Barbs w/Leftovers
Nature; Careful
(All 31 IVs, except for Sp. Attack)
252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Leech Seed
Stealth Rock
Gyro Ball
Thunder Wave
-- Not postitive yet, but thinking I'll lead with him to set up stealth rock and try to hender faster pokemon with thunder wave. At the same time keeping longevity with leech seed and leftovers. I like Ferrothorn's typing and bulk.
Charizard X @Tough CLaws
Nature; Adament
(All 31 IVs, except for Sp. Attack)
252 Att / 252 Spe / 6 HP
Dragon Dance
Dragon Claw
Flare Blitz
Roost
-- I'm trying to make him the bulk of my team. With touch claws, adamant nature and dragon dance, I should be able to slam through most opponents. Hopefully. Roost for longevity. Charizard is one of my favorite Pokes.
Gengar @Levitate w/ Life Orb
Nature; Timid
(All 31 IVs, except for Attack)
252 Spe / 252 SpA / 6 HP
Shadow Ball
Psychic
Dazzling Gleam
Thunderbolt
-- All-out special attack sweeper, pretty much nothing to him other then switching in on the right pokes. I like his speed and SpA stats, kind of a glass cannon, though.
Scizor @Technician w/???
Nature; Adamant
(All 31 IVs)
252 Att / 252 Spe / 6 HP
Bullet Punch
U-turn
Sword Dance
Knock Off
-- Another alternative as far as a physical sweeper, again situational like Gengar. Obviously bullet punch to counter his low speed and U-turn for when things get hairy. Sword dance and knock-off seem like a must have, to me. Not sure what item to give him yet.
Galvantula @Compound Eyes w/ Focus Sash
Nature; Timid
(All 31 IVs, except for Attack)
252 Spe / 252 SpA / 6 HP
Sticky Web
Volt Switch
Bug Buzz
Energy Ball
-- Galvantula is really only here, because of sticky web. I like volt switch for the pivot option, but might switch that out for Thunder due to his ability. Suggestions would be appreciated.
Tentacruel @Liquid Ooze w/ Black Sludge
Nature; Calm
(All 31 IVs, except for Attack)
252 SpD / 252 Spe / 6 SpA
Toxic Spikes
Scald
Rapid Spin
Sludge Wave
-- Tentacruel is really here for his Sp. Def. bulk and the combo of toxic spikes and rapid spin, which is great. Scald is there for the hope of burning the foe. Sludge wave, because I wasn't sure what else to put there.
