From the first actual shot we have of him he looks freakin evil.
Maybe he's apart of some evil team from the next region?? What do you guys think?
 
He's a disgrace. He's just a cheap Marty Stu character so Ash loses another league.

Seriously, what were the writers thinking?

"How can we have Ash lose a league this time? I know, let's have him face a legendary Darkrai!"
 
Hey, hey I created this thread to talk about this Darkari guy not about Ash ever winning the league.
 
He's probably just another one of those mysterious guys who never talks to anyone.

He's not evil.
 
He won't be the evil guy in BW, as it would be leaked well before he appeared in the anime.
 
He just reminds me of Gaara from Naruto in the tournament saga where he'd watch from the stands :P
 
For some idiotic reason I think he will beat the trainer. I keep wanting to think that the trainer will goof up some how. Even though I don't think disqualification rules have ever been talked about in the anime.

I would love if Ash was to lose to the Trainer, then someone "touches" the Trainer which causes the trainer to be revealed to be a Zoroark. Causing mayhem. Guess who's imagination is can't be contained? Mine.

No, probably just stoic and a bit of arrogant. I would become such if I had a legendary bishonen ghost with lots of fangirls.
 
With the Isshu region being Ash's next adventure and a refresh of the series(or "reboot" if you want to call it that), I wouldn't be surprised if he wins the next league.

Btw, the Darkrai guy is a cheap cop-out for Ash to lose.
 
I've always had a thing against Paul cause he's a horrible person, but a fricken Darkrai Trainer? What were the writers thinking!? "OMG!!! Let's throw in a trainer with a very powerful legendary so Ash can lose to it LOL!!!! It'll be so funny to see Ash get pwned and look like a noob!"

I mean it's just plain out cheap and I find using it in a league as a sign of weakness. Cause you know a legendary like Darkrai is automatically very powerful and he's thinking "OMG LOL I CAN'T LOSE WITH A DARKRAI!!! LOL!!!" And I hear Ash may use pokemon like Totodile, Bayleaf, and Quilava against it and I sure don't want to see them get slaughtered by that fricken Darkrai.
 
I doubt he's evil.

He's just probably going to actually manage to be more annoying then all the other sudden league arrivals combined.

And considering how annoying I found most of them, that's a "worthy" accomplishment.
