I couldn't help but notice that lately, things have been really slow on this forum. Which makes me wonder: is it dying? Because the most users I've noticed online at one time in the last two weeks is 6, and I'm getting really worried... when I first became a member nearly a year ago, it was pretty active. I mean, there really hasn't been any big Pokemon news lately, so I can understand that, but I just can't help worrying...

Just wait till they start announcing the next generation Pokémon. Activity here will hit the roof.

Hey, your doing better then my forums! Wait until Diamond and Pearl come out. If ya want, I'll try and pop in here more often. Give me a day or to though first! :scared: I have coursework!5

It's approaching an exam period for high schools around the world now, isn't it? Those are traditionally our slowest periods, since the majority of our members are either high school or university students. The release of Mario Kart DS this week wouldn't be helping us either. I don't know about all of you, but I know I was consumed by the game yesterday, and neglected BMGf a bit.

Yes I'm guilty of this as well, due to university work and other stuff I've merely been able to contribute little more than a couple of posts per week. Although I plan to start get going again now I'm settled in at uni. Shame there's no satelliete TV though! Only get to watch pokémon at the weekends which doesn't help either.

And people are just lazy. Spending the remaining days of fall outside :D

This is new to me, since I haven't heard of any tests bigger than the usual ones around my school. Or maybe that's just me.

Yeah, I don't know what you guys are talking about. Finals/midterms usually don't start until at least December in most U.S. schools.

Our midterms aren't 'til the start of January here. We just wrapped up first quarter...

My year's broken down into four quarters, two quarters per semester. So we had our first-semester class midterms last week into this week, for those classes which gave midterms.

Oooh, yeah, most quarters are recently finishing...

I don't know of many schools that have tests for the quarters though. o_O

We have block scheduling, so each class only lasts for half a year.

4 classes per day, 80 minutes per class. So I'm at the mid-year for all of my 1-semester classes (I have 2 which take up both semesters).

I'm not very enamoured with Pokemon right now. There's not much to talk about. I'm very bored and somewhat annoyed with the idea of scattering the Battle Frontier around Kanto. I'm annoyed that the setting of Kanto isn't taking advantage of the possibility of meeting new characters.

On the games front - Pokemon Ranger and MD look nice enough and I might pick them up, but there's not really anything innovative about either of them so far.

My mock exams are in January and finals are scattered through May. Coursework due in March... busy year ahead.

No fair! I'm 13, have to hand coursework in on December the 13th (which I was given yesterday) for Maths, got to hand in R.S. coursework in a week, got to hand D.T. coursework in on Tuesday, and have a GCSE around my 14 birthday! :spam: Same there isn't a sad one...

My school's on the trimester system, and finals aren't until the start of December.

....when did this become a "this is how my school's time divisions are set up" discussion? :p
I'm sure that activity will pick up once Pokemon-related news does(as others have said).
