I don't think so. Looks like somebody tried to make Pokemon in an Okami-like style.
 
IMHO, nope.
That would repel kids/audience, not attract them lol.
 
No, that's a fan art by some fan to make it look like one of those old fashioned paintings with old fashioned styled names. It's stylish, but doesn't at all look official, and I think it looks a bit too much like a re-design rather a vice-versa.

Plus I think while it maybe realistic to see Pokemon like Latias and Latios on some old Gen 2 concepts, I think it is unrealistic to see a complete gen 1 & 2 pokedex, in order, that is suppose to pre-date the first games when Nintendo was not 100% confident in the size of the hit when the red and green launched in Japan. Let alone to have Gen 2 characters finalized before the Gen 1 monsters, is also unrealistic. Finally This looks nothing like Ken Sugimori's artstyle when he was one of the main designers for the original pokemon.

It's just creative art.

Oh man, that Clefable looks stoned out of it's mind. I like the Flaafy, Girafarig and Quilava though. And what's up with the Vileplume and Butterfree? They went from happy looking to just totally depressed.
 
I gotta say... Marowak looked epic XD
But... ew... I'm glad it's not going to look like this XD ...reminds me of Okami though~ Suicune~
 
Nope, but if they made a game where the Pokémon looked like that I would definately buy it.

Magcargo, Sneasel, Politoed, Sudowoodo, Primeape and Parasect would be my team, in that case. Go UU, yeah.
 
im pretty sure thats not the original drawings xD

but Yanma, Marowak, Sneasel, Persian and Giraffig are friggen awesome! well, pretty much all of them are! they're so... dark, and amazing. :D

Holy shot those are scary. It's the Primeape, Victreebell, and Tentacool-family that really freak me out!
