By now, with nearly 500 different monsters, is your favorite animal adapted as a Pokemon?

My favorite animal is the duck-billed platypus. While I suppose technically Psyduck draws some inspiration from it, I really don't consider it or its evolution Platypus-y enough for me to use on a team.

Possibly. My favorite animal is an ostrich, which I guess qualifies as Doduo and Dodrio.

Yup. I love dogs, and there are a few dog Pokémon.

They have dogs, they have hyenas when in the name of all thats holy are they going to have some actual Wolves!

Hoothoot and Noctowl. Owls are my fav animal

Turtles are my second favourite, A La Squirtle

Oddly, most of my favorite animals are now my favorites thanks to the Pokemon XD

Cricket's being one of them.

Not an animal, but I always always always like Venus Flytrap, and was glad we got one (and an AWESOME) one at that.

Also not an animal, but I've always wanted a Kasa-obake.

Well, we just got poison dart frogs in the form of Greggle and Dokurog. And everyone knows that Greggle and Dokurog are really awesome. And then we've had Spinarak and Ariados since Gen II... I'm pleased.

Of course, I'd be even more pleased if they'll make a dolphin Pokemon. It's long overdue. My kingdom for a dolphin in Gen V! And I also want a jorougumo and a mummy, though these aren't animals.

Alot of people consider Dusclops to be somewhat of a mummy, since it looks like it is in wraps.

Dusclops just isn't mummy enough for me. It's a cycloptic ghost-demon thing, not a mummy. Like a... what are those paper lantern ghosts called?

You know...a Ghost/Steel Mummy draped in tinfoil would be neat. XD

Chōchin obake - one eyed ghostly paper laterns.

My favourite pokemon close to an animal would be Houndoom, Houndour, Poochyena, Mightyena and Zizagoon. Bet twice which animal it is!

Unfortunately, no, my favourite animal isn't a pokemon yet. I hope it will be, but I kinda doubt it. LLAMAS FTW.

Um, Mightyena's a brown hyena....

Don't forget Snubbull/Granbull, Rioru/Lucario (assuming they're indeed jackals, which are in the genus Canis), Smeargle, and maybe Absol (assuming it has basis in the barghest).

Eh, Mightyena looks more like a dog than a hyena to me, even if it DOES have 'yena' in the title. Poochyena doesn't look like a hyena at ALL. o_O But I mean...I like hyenas, too, so....xD

And I can't believe I forgot Smeargle! One of my all time favs.

With their long dark fur and comparatively narrow ears, brown hyenas look much different from their spotted, short-haired, wide-eared brethren. And they're rather cool-looking.
