I'm not sure if someone has mentioned a thread on Isshu. But here is the thread for all things ISSHU

Discuss your thoughts on where it is, where anything is or anything else.

Re: Isshu's Location?

I think that's Hong Kong, in China.

...

DESERT!

Re: Isshu's Location?

.... Did you see the speculation contest that ran for a week? It's stickied right up there.

Re: Isshu's Location?

It's somewhere over there in that direction. Hey, why don't you go looking for it!

Re: Isshu's Location?

The Golden Gate Bridge is red, that looks more like the Brooklyn Bridge.

Re: Isshu's Location?

Note: its locked and since newer stuff is out, so we can talk about the location.

And true Jeff but you know Pokémon can always change stuff

Re: Isshu's Location?

It could be. They said the region was far off and that you would have to fly or take a boat there.

Re: Isshu's Location?

Right, so America could make sense

Re: Isshu's Location?

That city looks very much like New York. I think (and I hope) this new region will be in America. Do we get to see Lt. Surge's hometown then?

Re: Isshu's Location?

I keep hearing the city looks like New York. Can people give other land marks aside from the bridge since this post actually has a good argument for it being a bridge in Hong Kong, and I compared he bridge's image on the post after that.

I'd like to see more evidence for it being new york, other than "tall buildings" which certainly a lot of cities have.

And yes, there are a lot of suspension bridges in the world. You need something better than a "suspension bridge"

Honestly, for the region I think its any of the neighboring countries around Japan.

Re: Isshu's Location?

Well there's water.

So this must be New Zealand.

Re: Isshu's Location?

Isshu is no doubt Pokemons representation of Madagascar

as a side note, due to this, pokerus will not be in gen V games that take place in the new region.

Re: Isshu's Location?

An island full of skyscrapers, with a bridge, instantly says New York to me. Also, the player characters look a bit American.

Still waiting for one set in England...

And none of the characters who took place in the regions from Japan looked Japanese. Saying they look American is just what your perception of them is.

Hong Kong is also an island, and it has a bridge, and currently more evidence for it being that bridge than any of the other American bridges suggested.

Also no one would take a boat from japan to America. It's far, but its too far.

In Emerald, you travel from Hoenn (Kyushu) to Faraway Island (Guyana, South America). This isn't a real factor in anything.

Here's hoping that one of the boats will take us back to the Pokémon world's counterpart of Japan - preferably to one of the regions that we haven't seen yet. It would be immensely better than spreading over 400 of the old Pokémon in what is supposed to be a separate country.

Fair enough; I must admit my knowledge of East Asian bridges isn't exactly stellar.

The other alternative is of course that it's just made up.
