Can people stop prefixing trivia with "it is interesting to note"/"an interesting thing to note"/etc? Of fucking course it's interesting to note, that's why you're putting it in the article. This is useless cruft that serves no purpose but to make the article look more stupid.

Agreed. Saying something is interesting is biased, and as an encyclopedia, we work for non biased stances on everything. We state the fact, and the readers choose how they want to feel about it.

I agree too that it shouldn't be used.

There are quite a few similar turns of phrase that I've noticed. Trivia sections are especially badly affected.

Though the one that annoys me most is when people start a sentence with "Coincidentally", when the thing they're describing isn't a coincidence.

i generally remove stuff like that if im modifying a trivia section, or whole page, as i agree. its pointless.

Yeah, of course it's interesting to note, it's like saying 'This article is trivia' right under the trivia section header.
