I'm not sure anyone has thought of this rather controversial idea, but remember how Chrono Trigger had the floating city that fell after its magic failed, leaving its denizens wondering how they would get by without it now? Does this remind nobody of the American economy?

I've never heard of Chrono Trigger, but I have heard of people claiming TV "predicted" something happening- my personal favorite is the X-Files allegedly foretold 9/11.

I am saying Western culture is a kind of magic, which is a mystical kind of "technology" even its users do not understand so well. I also believe that Jim Henson show Dinosaurs foretold the future of Caucasians.
