Well, it's back. At one point I had a "Cast a new version of the Pokemon Musical" if they did a musical of it. So, post your desired cast lists, references to your chosen actors past works, and why you think they should e the cast memeber. here and debate away. I only have a partial llist as of now, but here goes nothing.
Ash/Satoshi: Hugh Panaro. I saw Hugh on Broadway as the Phantom of the Opera, and when he wasn't angsting in the show, during the curtain call he seemed youthful, hyper, and full of energy. Would be good for Ash. Currently in the musical "Lestat." Or Manoel Felciano from Sweeney Todd Revival 2005.
Misty: undecided (Kristin Chenowith?)
Brock: undecided (possibly Manoel Felciano?)
May: Lauren Molina of Sweeney Todd Revival. She makes a hard to do song look good.
Max: Just grab a random Chip from a production of Beauty and the Beast.
Giovanni: Michael Cerveris Absolutely blew me away in the new recording of Sweeney Todd. Creepy, intense, and can totally pull off evil. Will require a wig, but man is he good.
Jessie: undecided. My best bet would be to toss Patti LuPone in the fountain of youth and have her play her. But I love Patti LuPone so I'm super biased. :ksmile: Idina Menzel perhaps? She could do the attitude.
James: So....darn....tough.....will find one later
Professor Oak: Franc D'Ambrosio. Played Al Pacino's opera singing son in the Godfather 3. I got to see him in a concert at my college and talk to him a bit. He'd be an awesome Oak. He's a tenor/baritone (has played both Sweeney and the Phantom. My two favorites!) Has an incredible voice. Also has very Oakish facial shape. I used to root for Michael Crawford in this role, but he has officially gotten to old *tear* (One of my alltime favorite singers is 64! He was so freaking adorable when he was young *references Some Mothers Do 'Ave Em, Hello Dolly, ect.* He was so durn cute cute cute </michael crawford fangirl-iness)
Delia Ketchum: Stephanie D'Abruzzo hands down. She sounds so Delia-like. I'll be listening to the Avenue Q song "The Internet is for P*** and I'll keep thinking how Delia-esque she sounds.
