It’s Not Over! PG-13 (Minor Violence, Drama, and Romance)
Another Aqua Marina fic by eevee91

This is the continuation of, and the last part of, Aqua Marina’s story. This part starts off with where “The Final Training Frontier” left off. Will Aqua find out about Cosmeon and finally be Deoxys’ master? Will she battle Red, and if so, who will win? Will her dream of being a Pokémon Master finally come true? And most importantly, what will become of Vee? Please Read and Comment/Review.

*** And the sci-fi theme will be very short this time. It will not be through the whole story. ***

P.S.-I’m still rewriting “Taking Over a Trainer’s Heart and Soul.” It’s going to have a lot more detail, and a better plot. And Aqua and Red meeting will be longer, and more dramatic. That’s all I got so far… (It's out as of now.:-D )

Chapter 1: A Dangerous Act

Prologue
(Fade in)
Continues from The Final Training Frontier:

“Aqua, are you alright?” Red was next to her. “You were acting like you were having a horrible nightmare.”

Aqua looked at Red. “I was, but I figured it out.” She smiled knowing it was a dream, and Red would never hurt her.

“Well good morning, Space Princess.” Red then kissed her.

“Good morning, Red.” She kissed him back. This part was not a dream, but a dream that came true the day before. They were going to start being more than friends.

But something else seeped into Aqua mind. “I have to get out of that.” She thought back to the twisted nightmare. “Get ready.” The words slipped from her mouth.

“What?” Red stopped her.

“You heard me.” Aqua was serious. “It’s time to train Deoxys, and you’re helping.”
TO BE CONTINUED….NOW.

A new day had come, and today Aqua Marina was to be sent on another space mission, but alone this time. This she did not like too much. Aqua sat outside the Space Center on her new Deoxys, in a blue and white space suit that looked to be more of a body suit.

Meanwhile, Red was looking for his best friend Aqua Marina. He looked all around the Space Center in a panic when “AQUA! NO! STOP!” He had spotted her.

“I’ll be back.” Aqua put her helmet on and smiled at him as Deoxys started to leave the ground.

All Red could do was watch until she was out of sight………… “Aqua…………”……………………………………

It’s Not Over

Chapter 1: A Dangerous Act

19 year old Aqua Marina stared at the earth as she held onto Deoxys tight. Breathing heavily the air in her spacesuit; the sight in front of her brought tears to her eyes. The earth was so beautiful and peaceful from orbit, but hidden on the surface was wars, violence, hurt, and other misery. She wished things looked as nice down there as they did from her current view.

With her was her Pokémon, Vee, an eevee who she loved dearly. He too was in a spacesuit fitted for him, the same one he would have worn on their first visit to space, if only he had not transformed into cosmeon, the space form of eevee. That’s what this whole mission was about, to find out if cosmeon was really an eevee space form. This mission was just not how the space center had planned. In fact, they were very uninformed.

“Ok. We just wait for Vee to transform now.” Aqua said nervously. She bravely held onto on her Deoxys, who was untrained and could turn at any minute. Before Aqua caught it, it roamed through space freely without ever having any human contact. After her battle to tame in, and almost being killed in the process, Deoxys was still untamed, but calm and somewhat obedient. For now it listened to her, but who knew what it would do in the next five minutes. Knowing this, Aqua still trusted the Pokémon, and wanted to befriend it. So they waited nervously about the earth with unsure trust.

Meanwhile back on earth…..
A 21 year old Red, still Pokémon champion, could not believe her. Red was wearing jeans, a black t-shirt, and white sneakers. His spiky black hair was partly over his brown eyes. He pleaded with her not to do this, but she refused to listen. His only choice now was to alert the Space Center, who was actually waiting to send her on a space mission that day. He ran into the lobby, and came face to face with a space pilot, Ash, who was on Aqua’s first space mission with her. Ash was around 30 years old, had light brown hair, pale skin, and being fit, he looked like an athlete. He was wearing grey pants, a blue shirt, and black shoes. “Aqua took off on Deoxys.” Red said panic stricken.

Ash could not believe what he heard. “She did what?!” He heard it alright, he just didn’t know Aqua was that stupid. He knew Aqua was a smart girl, but just could not understand what she was thinking.

But Red knew what was in Aqua’s mind as she pulled the dangerous stunt. “She really wants to prove she can control Deoxys.” Red stared into Ash’s eyes with fear, fear Aqua’s life.

Ash nodded. He remembered hearing about Aqua wanting to control Deoxys. Luna, an astrobiologist, friend of, and another space travel partner of Aqua’s, had told him to watch her. They knew Aqua did not like the Space Center’s plan to send her into space on a rocket, alone. Aqua was not just scared, but wanted a chance to do what she failed to do in her first attempt, which was ride Deoxys into space with no problem. Ash knew Aqua probably had a radio on her, and knew he had to try to contact her. “Red, let’s get to mission control.” Ash too was worried about her.

Red followed as Ash led him to the control room. Inside the room was computers and monitors for communicating with space crafts and astronauts. Red followed Ash to a computer.

Ash looked at some data, and turned pale. “Red, Aqua is in deep danger.”

“What’s wrong?” Red felt sick hearing this. All he could think of was how he could not stop her. Aqua taking off on Deoxys while he tried to talk her out of it played over and over in his mind.

“It seems there is a lot of space junk today.” Ash felt sick too. “And if she is hit by it, or her suit is torn, Aqua….may not come home.” He said uncomfortably.

Red was about to panic upon hearing this. “Ash, do something now! We have to save her!” The last thing Red wanted was to say goodbye to Aqua. The very thought of her possibly being hurt affected him deeply. Afterall, Aqua was very special to him.

Ash went over to the computer, and put on a headset. After trying a few things he finally contacted Aqua. “Aqua! What are you doing? Do you know there is a high amount of space junk up there today?!” He screamed in a panic, hoping to get through to her.

Up in space Aqua heard him. Upon hearing Ash’s voice, she knew she had been caught. “Oh hi Ash.” Aqua laughed nervously knowing she was in trouble when she got back to earth. Then her brain comprehended his words. “What do you mean space junk?”

“You know, pieces of debris from space ships and satellites….but that’s not the point. You need to get back to earth right………….” That’s when Red and Ash began to hear static. “Aqua. Are you there?”

…………………………………………………………..
There was silence for minutes. Red could not take it any longer, and screamed out “Aqua…..Aqua……Space Princess…..ARE YOU THERE?!”
Little did they know, Aqua was in deep trouble.

There is a long chapter coming.
No spoiler to give, as it will ruin a lot. But I will ask “Who’s that Pokemon?” about the chapter coming up. Guess?

Please. Please. Please read and review. This and the rewrite are my last fanfics...as of now. Starting September, I don't know if I'll be writing fics for awhile since my life will be very busy once again. I really think I've improved in my writing this year, but think I like to go over borad with the sci-fi/fantast themes. :/

.....The first chapter got cut off. It's there when I edit, but it's not showing up in the post. I think it's a glitch. D:
Oh well. I'll post it tomorrow.

Thanks for the review.

EDIT: If it doesn't show up, I will repost the (invisible) first chapter tomorrow.

Awsome. Wait so is this a rewrite?

No. I'm rewriting "Taking Over a Trainer's Heart and Soul." This is just the last addition to my Aqua Marina fanfics. :)

Thanks for the review.

So, I'm not quitting with my fics just yet....
Please read and review. I appreciate it. :)

Chapter 2: Star Struck

Aqua was unconscious, and so were Vee and Deoxys. Ash was right, as she did run into deep trouble. A piece of space junk had hit them all hard, and the blow had knocked them all out. This was not good, the longer Aqua stayed unconscious, the more time she would be unaware that she was in a danger zone.

“You need to send me up to get her!” Red screamed. He would not let Aqua rot up there, no matter how mad he was at her that minute for being so stupid.

Ash was panicking too. “Red, you know I can’t do that! And you know that you can’t do it either!”

“Then you go!” Red cried at Ash. Red was beginning to think he may lose Aqua. “Why didn’t you listen…?” Red thought, thinking of Aqua. “Why couldn’t I stop you?” A tear ran down his check.

“We’ll see….” Ash was about to cry as well. He had a deep feeling they lost her for real this time, and there was not much they could do. He knew something Red didn’t. Before they would get to her, it would be too late.

Back in orbit……
An unconscious Aqua began to drift away from her Pokémon. If she went much further, she would never be able to catch up to them again.

Below, in earth’s upper atmosphere, a Rayquaza was flying by. The Pokémon stopped at the sight of the girl, Deoxys, and Vee floating unresponsive. “It’s my old friend Deoxys.” Rayquaza smiled. “But who are those earth creatures?” Rayquaza moved closer and took a better look. “They don’t seem quite awake. And neither does Deoxys.”

Space Center…..
Ash looked at the monitor. “Rayquaza?” He stared in disbelief at what it had detected near Aqua.

“What is it?” Red looked at the monitor too, but could not make out what he saw.

“I said, Rayquaza is around…..Red, wait outside.” He commanded an upset Red.

Red heard this and ran toward the door. Before he left the room, he turned back for a second. “This better be good news for us.” He said as he now turned around and ran to leave the building.

Orbit….
Rayquaza waited a few minutes, and then knew something was wrong. “I think I better bring them to earth.” Rayquaza thought of a solution. Rayquaza pulled the three into earth’s atmosphere with a gentle physic power, and got ready to land them on the earth. It pulled them in pretty fast, but needed a place to put them down. Then it remembered the Space Center, and how it saw all those rockets come from there.

Earth….
Red did as Ash told him, hoping he was right. Red stared to the skies. Then he saw Rayquaza, and Aqua and Pokémon falling to earth. Red stared in awe, then was relieved for the moment. “Thank You, Rayquaza.”

Aqua, Deoxys, and Vee looked as though they were gently falling to earth. Finally they were almost to the ground, and Red ran to catch her. Aqua then finally landed safely in Red’s arms, and the two Pokémon were finally placed on the ground outside the Space Center. Their adventure was over.

Ash came out to find Red beside Aqua, who he had laid on the ground. “She needs to be examined immediately.” Ash was serious. “She could be seriously hurt.”

Red then looked at Deoxys and Vee, who looked hurt the most. Deoxys had a bump on its head, and Vee looked like he had been struck by something very hard. “Her Pokémon are hurt too.” Red then began to shake Aqua. “Wake up Aqua. Please.”

Ash thought quickly. “Red, get her Pokémon to the Pokémon center.” Ash looked at Aqua. “I’ll take care of her.”

Red nodded. “That’s good.” He placed Aqua in Ash’s arms then picked up her pokéball. Red returned Vee and Deoxys, and then turned back to Ash. “Take care of her.”

Ash nodded. “I said I would.” As Red left, Ash ran with a still unconscious Aqua to the lab they were in before. The lab where they left Deoxys the previous week, and the same lab for studying astrobiology.
He placed Aqua on table, and waited for who else but Luna to come in. Luna was average height and weight, and had long platinum blond hair tied back in a ponytail. Today she was dressed sort of casual, wearing jeans, a yellow blouse, and gold flats.

“What….did…..she…...do!?” Luna said annoyed as she looked at the unconscious Aqua.

“Stupid, I can’t stay on the planet actions.” Ash was upset with her too. “But for now let’s make sure she’s alright.” Ash looked at Luna and then back at Aqua.

Luna nodded. “Yeah. Let’s hope she’s alright.” She became nervous about the possibility of finding something wrong with Aqua.

The both of them then gently took off Aqua’s spacesuit and checked to see if she was injured. They looked at every part of her body, checking for any signs of injury, but luckily, found nothing. “She’s fine, and breathing.” Luna said relieved.

“She just needs to wake up.” Ash was relieved, but annoyed.

“Well, we’ll have to wait to ask her how she feels.” Luna said looking at Aqua. “She’s probably gonna be out for……” As Luna was about to finish the sentence she was stopped by Aqua beginning to move.

“You were saying?” Ash said as to mock her, as he noticed it too.

Aqua slowly opened her eyes to see Luna and Ash staring at her. “Where….where am I?” She said weakly.

Luna could not help but push her distress aside for the moment and baby her. “You’re in the Space Center Lab. Are you alright, honey?”

“My head feels a little funny, but I don’t know.” Then Aqua started to remember. “What happened, and where is Deoxys and Vee?”

“What Happened!?” Ash started to scream. “I think you know very well what happened! You took off on Deoxys when we told you not too. Now look! You and your Pokémon were injured and had to be saved by a Rayquaza.”

Aqua froze in fear from both Ash’s screaming, and the word Rayquaza, which was now taking over her mind. “…….Rayquaza?” She could hardly say the name.

Luna gave Ash a stunned look and then went over and hugged Aqua. “Yes, Rayquaza saved you Aqua. I’m so relieved you’re alright.”

“But Deoxys and Vee?” Aqua was concerned about her Pokémon now.

“Red took them to the Pokémon Center.” Ash cut in before Luna could answer. Then he gave Aqua a serious look. “Don’t you ever do this again.” With that he walked out of the room.

Luna held Aqua tight. “He’s just stressed out, because earlier he was worried sick about you.” She tried to comfort Aqua after Ash had just screamed at her twice. “But……what you did was not good at all.”

Aqua looked down at the floor in shame. “I know. I just wanted to prove myself.”

“You’re not super girl, Aqua.” Luna pleaded with her. “Please, stop with the stunts.”

A tear ran down Aqua’s face. “I’m sorry for scaring you guys.” In reality, she was happy to be alive that moment.

Meanwhile at the Pokémon Center…..

Red sat in the waiting room for news on the condition of Vee and Deoxys. “Please let them be alright.” Red prayed. He was worried about Aqua just as much, but had a feeling she would be alright. But something inside him did not feel right about the condition of her Pokémon. Nurse Joy looked especially distressed when she saw Vee.

The door to the ER then opened and Nurse Joy emerged looked extremely worried. “Red, I need to talk to you.” She called out in a weak voice.

Red heard her voice, and knew something was wrong. He got up and ran over to her. “Please tell me it’s not bad news.”

Nurse Joy sadly nodded. “I’m sorry, but there is some hard news.”

Red choked up, about to cry. He hoped he would not hear what he knew he might hear. “How’s her Pokémon.”

“It’s her eevee.” Nurse Joy said slowly. “It might not make it.”

The words struck Red hard. “Not Vee.” He could hardly talk. All he could think of was how Aqua would take the news. If something happened to Vee, Aqua would not take well to it, probably even going into an endless depression.

“I’m doing whatever I can, but her eevee is still in critical condition.” She knew Red would not take the news well, but thought she would tell him she was doing her best to save Vee.

“Save the eevee.” Was all Red could say. As Nurse Joy went back to take care of the Pokémon, Red sat in the waiting room and did just that; wait.

What do you think so far?
:bawl:

Vee's not dead....at least I hope not. D:
.....hopefully, he can be saved, but how?

Chapter 3: Aqua’s Secret/Hope For Vee

Aqua was lying in the bed at the Space Center. She wore short denim shorts, a pink tank top, and white sneakers. Her brown hair was in a ponytail to keep it off her face. Strong sunlight shown through the window of the small, almost bed room. In the room were only a bed and a table with a lamp. Only one thing was on her mind, and that was if Deoxys, and especially Vee, were alright. “I need to know how they are.” Aqua said to herself as she reached for her pokegear. She sent Red a text saying, “How are they?” Then she waited for the response that took awhile to come.

Pokémon Center……
Red looked at his pokegear, staring at Aqua’s message. “Thank Arceus she’s alright, but…I can’t tell her.” Is all he thought to himself. “She’s probably going through enough. I’ll have to wait to tell her in person.” He sent her a message saying, “idk yet.”

In the pokecenter ER, Deoxys was going to be fine, but it seemed more than ever that Vee would not make it. He had been struck too hard by the debris, and had multiple injuries. In reality, Vee was barely alive.

Space Center…..
Aqua looked at the message on her pokegear. “What does he mean he doesn’t know?” Aqua said in confusion. “How could Red not know when he is right there?” She wanted answers, but had a feeling something was horrible wrong. “It’s all my fault.” The words seeped into her mind.

Later that night……
Red returned to the Mossdeep Space Center, and opened the door to Aqua’s room. He immediately ran over to, and hugged her. “Aqua!” He cried. “I’m so happy you’re alright!”

Aqua turned quickly to look at him. “Forget about me! What about my Pokémon?”

Red looked down. “Not good.” The words slipped from his mouth.

“What! What….do you mean by that?” Aqua was afraid to ask.

Red walked over and sat down on the bed next to her. “Deoxys is going to be fine.”

“What about Vee?!” Aqua was getting worried.

Red paused. Then he finally told her. “Vee is not so good.”

Aqua’s heart sunk in her chest. “Is Vee going to……..make it?”

Red moved closer and hugged her. “We don’t know yet.”

Aqua grabbed Red and started to sob uncontrollably. “No Vee, no! You can’t leave us!” She screamed.

“Aqua, all we can do is hope for the best.” Red tried to sound positive.

Aqua couldn’t talk. She was too upset. All she could think of was the fact Vee might not make it. “VEEEEEEEE!”

“I’m here, Aqua.” Was all Red could say to her.

Minutes passed and finally Aqua spoke. “Red. Take me to the Pokémon center.”

Red noticed it was getting dark. “How about first thing tomorrow?”

“Now!” Aqua screamed.

Red looked into her horrified eyes and gave in to her wish. “Fine. Let’s go.” He helped her off the bed.

As the two went to leave the room, Luna appeared. “Where are you guys going?”

“To see Vee!” Aqua cried put. “Vee is……Vee is…….” Aqua could not get the words out as tears ran down her cheeks.

Red saw and put his arm around her. He looked at a stunned Luna. “Vee might not make it.”

Aqua heard his words, and now exploded, bawling uncontrollably. “Noooooo. Waaa waaaaa waahhhhhh!”

Luna had the look of horror on her face. She went to Aqua and tried to comfort her. “Vee will pull through.”

“Veeeeeeee.” Aqua cried.

“Let’s go.” Red knew there he had to get Aqua to the Pokémon center before she lost her sanity right there. He took Aqua by the arm and started for the exit.

“Let me know.” Luna called out to them as the two ran for the outside, Aqua behind Red.

“We will.” Red called out without turning around. He saw the front glass doors of the Space Center, and finally they were on the other side of them. It was now dark outside, and a few bright stars were in the sky above. Red felt a cool breeze on his skin, and noticed the wind blowing Aqua’s hair. Red then took out a pokéball. “GO Charizard!” He cried as a Charizard came out.

Aqua calmed down a little for the moment. “We’re gonna fly on Charizard?” She said as though asking a question.

“Yeah, we’ll get there in only a few minutes.” Red gave her a smile. “Besides, I don’t think you’ll mind, Space Princess.”

Aqua blushed, and then started toward Charizard. As she tried to get on, Red jumped on first and held out his hand to help her up. Aqua, still blushing grabbed it and Red pulled her behind him onto the Charizard. “Thanks.” She whispered as she now held onto his back, bracing herself for the ride.

Red just looked back and smiled. “Ready?” He asked her as she nodded. Red turned and held onto Charizard. “Let’s go Charizard.” He called out.

As he did, Charizard flapped its big dragon wings and took flight. Aqua held on tight to Red, and did not dare look down, as she had a little secret. She was in fact afraid of heights when gravity was in full effect. So at the moment she was putting on a brave act. “Almost there?” Aqua asked after a minute into the flight.

“Yeah, the Pokémon center is right over there. Can’t you see it, Aqua?” Red turned his head back a little and noticed her eyes were shut tightly. “Um, Aqua……”

“Yes.” Aqua said without even opening her eyes.

“Don’t you want to see the view?” Red asked, trying to dig out the reason she was acting weird.

“Not really.” Aqua still had did not even peek.

Red was not giving up. “Why not? It’s awesome!”

“It can’t be that awesome.” Aqua was not giving in either.

Charizard was just about to land. “Aqua….I know something new about you.” Red smirked as Charizard started to descend.

“What is that, Red?” Aqua hoped he somehow didn’t figure it out.

“You’re afraid of heights, Miss Astropoketrainer.” Red had the biggest smirk on his face now.

“Not true!” Aqua shot back, her eyes still shut. “The wind just bothered my eyes.”

“That’s not true, Aqua!” Red shot back, shifting his eyes back towards her. “If it was, why did you not even want to look at the view for a split second?” Red said as Charizard finally landed outside the lit up Pokémon center.

Aqua was caught. She had no response to give him except, “Keep it quiet please.” Then she gave him an “I’m so happy we’re on the ground” hug from behind. As she hugged him she couldn’t help but ask him something about the whole thing. “You still love me, right?”

Red froze. He couldn’t imagine why Aqua would ever think this weakness of hers would make him like her any less. “No, Aqua. You’re still awesome.”

Aqua held Red’s hand tight as they waited outside the ER. “Red, I want a miracle…..I want Vee to be alright.” She looked down at the floor. “Afterall, it’s all my fault.” A tear feel from her eye.

Red grabbed her other hand. “Aqua, we don’t know if Vee will be alright.” He watched as Aqua still cried. “Maybe this was destined to happen.” That didn’t help.

Nurse Joy appeared from the ER, ushering them in. “You can see your eevee now.” She said to Aqua.

Aqua wasted no time rushing into the room. “Vee! I’m here!” She cried as she ran up to him. Vee was on a little bed with wires attached to him, and an oxygen mask was on his face. He looked very beat up. “Vee….” Aqua leaned over and stroked his fur.

Red came up behind her. “Aqua…..” He said looking at a beat up Vee.

Nurse Joy looked at Vee distressed. “It’s a time like this where the ultra potion would come in handy.”

“A what potion?” Aqua looked up at the unfamiliar word.

“Two scientists worked on it here, and one happened to be from TR. He stole it for his own good, and to help make TR rich. That was a month ago. Now I guess we’ll never see it again.”

“And you say it will save Vee’s life?” Aqua gave Nurse Joy a pleading look.

Nurse Joy nodded. “I’m sure it would.” She sighed. “If only we had it.”

A look of determination came over Aqua’s face. “Then I’ll just have to do what I couldn’t do all those years ago.” She thought of the day she met Red….the day she was outnumbered by Team Rocket in Celadon City.

Hearing this, Red knew exactly what was on her mind. “Aqua, I’m gonna be right there with you.”

“Where?” Nurse Joy was puzzled.

“When I take down Team Rocket and get that potion back.” Aqua smiled as she stroked Vee’s fur.

“Oh!” Nurse Joy looked a little worried. “No, you don’t know how…….”

“How powerful they are?” Aqua finished her sentence. “Thanks, but I know. I actually almost took them down not too long ago, but they got away. I guess they’re still at it.”

“Are you really that good of a trainer, Aqua?” Nurse Joy was surprised.

Aqua nodded. She had nothing else to say, and didn’t really like to brag.

Red noticed her silence. “Aqua is almost a Pokémon master. How do you think she became a space trainer?”

“You’re that trainer?!.” Was all Nurse Joy could say as she looked at Aqua.

“And talking about the Space Center……” Aqua stopped. “I think my days there are over after this incident.” She thought back to Ash getting upset of this whole mess she got herself in. “But…I really like Mossdeep.”

“No, Aqua. They wouldn’t do that.” Red tried to comfort her.

“I hope not.” Aqua said as she continued to pet Vee. In her mind she saw the earth as she saw it when she was with Deoxys. “Do I even deserve to be a Pokémon trainer?” She wondered to herself.

There was silence for a long time before Aqua finally spoke. “Tomorrow, we’ll find out where Team Rocket is. But until then, I don’t think I’ll be sleeping.”

“Please try to get some sleep, Aqua.” Red looked up at her, but she was not looking down at him. Instead, she was staring out the top of the window, looking up at the night sky. “This time….”

Nice work, vee. The chapter was kinda long, though...

Thanks for the review!
And it was long...sorry. (Probably why so little reviews) I think it should have been two chapters, but oh well. The next chapter will not be as long.
