Well, tomorrow (Jan 13) is the first day of the last week of the Bush43 administration. I thought we'd celebrate by talking about the memorable moments of the past eight years. There certainly a lot to talk about.

Besides, the only active topic at the moment it what bathroom transgendered people should use. I can't imagine that's such a burning topic in people's minds.

I think Bush's legacy will be helping the country through 9-11 and establishing the Department of Homeland Security, a dept. that was long do. But other than that...

The BBC ran an article on the best bushisms. Some of them are pretty good.
My favorite: "They misunderestimated me."

A department he opposed until it was imposed on him.

Personally, I think the highlights of the Bush Administration would be 9/11, the overthrowing of the Taliban, and capturing and bringing to justice a man who has deserved it for years.

Guys! I hope you'll all enjoy George W. Bush's last week of presidency. Inauguration begins next Tuesday and that's when Barack Obama now becomes the president of the United States so then I'll expect to see this as an epic thread, A VERY EPIC THREAD, at that. George Bush can enjoy next Monday as of the 19th of January to be president for the very last day, maybe even the very last day of his life so if I were him, I wouldn't let it go to waste. Besides even Rave knows that Barack Obama has to become the president. I'll go watch those youtube movies later. Remember when an angry Arabic person from his Arabian culture threw a shoe at George W. Bush just to try and to insult him? They say that throwing a shoe or shoe over in Arabia is a way to assault and offend people. Yeah, read the newspapers if you have them, or you can watch the video. I saw that last month.

Wait a minute, union people captured Osama Bin Laden and brought him justice?

No. The original plan allowed unionized labor to work in the department of Homeland Security. Bush and the Republicans managed to amend the bill to ban unions from the department.

My favourite memory of Bush and his presidency was how he and his government managed to fool thousands of people into believing Al Quaeda was solely responsible for the 9/11 attacks.

Yeah I said it. ;-)

Who really ordered them to hijack the 4 airplanes into the Twin Towers and have 1 crash into the Pentagon? Those were the same people who brought weapons on the airplanes like knives and guns and they said that if the pilot refused to give up his seat, they'll fell him, which is exactly what they did and it probably scared everyone once they found out the pilot was dead and then the attackers flying into the Twin Towers, crashing the plane, killing everyone. I sure do remember what happened on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. Bush just had to live with it during his 2nd and future years of presidency.

I was referring to Saddam Hussein, not Bin Laden. Bin Laden is probably dead anyway. With all those doubles he used, his cronies could easily fake him being alive.

Almost eight years ago, George Walker Bush became the 43rd President of America. He campaigned about domestic issues, meaning issues inside the United States, such as health care and taxes. In my case, I only really started paying attention to him... in the wake of the airplane jihad attacks of September 11, 2001. In sum, that may be how I will best -- or most seriously -- remember him. He was the first President of the 21st century to tackle international jihadism head-on, invading Afghanistan and Iraq to prove his basic point, whatever mistakes or advantages happened on his watch. As a result, millions around the world are trying to figure out whether freedom or submission can lead humankind to genuine peace, and I will wish Barack Obama, the 44th President of America, success and good luck in defending freedom and navigating this country through these tumultuous waters.

He was the first president of the 21st century. Period. It's not as if you can compare his actions to all of the OTHER 21st century presidents...as we haven't seen them in action yet.

And...what was his basic point and how did Iraq prove it? I could think of a few points those invasions proved...but I have a feeling I'm the only one thinking a few of them.
