Good job! This sounds wonderful for your first time mixing. :)

My only criticism is that the piano's pacing didn't mesh with the background music. The piano felt really calm, while the background music had a sense of urgency to it. But even then, I thought it was lovely.

Keep up the great work!

KM likes~

Very good for your first attempt. I agree with TPM's comment though, the piano and background felt conflicted. Unless this was intentional, in which case, bravo~

Good stuff! I don't think the piano conflicted with the background music, I thought it went along nicely.

Thanks guys. ^^

Actually I did want the piano and the background song to go together nicely. To balance the slow piano tune, something slightly more "faster". It didn't go that well together but it could've been a lot worse.

I really enjoyed listening to this, I loved the way you ended it, with just the piano and it quietly fading away. It was very lovely! Looking forward to more from you.

So here's a new composition. Really, really happy with how it turned out.

Escaping the Shadows

And yes, the title is cheesy. :p

Excellent job! This sounds quite lovely.

The only instrument that seemed off at parts was the cymbal/drums earlier in the song, and even then, I still think they worked for the most part. You did a better job this time around of blending all the instruments together; nothing felt too out of place. It was very pleasant to listen to my ears.

Keep it up! You're improving. :)

For anyone who can't access last.fm, I uploaded it to MediaFire as well.

And, it sounds better when you crank up the volume a bit btw. ^^

Just for that it deserves a -1/10. :/

jk, I live in Cheeseland, I like cheese. xD

This would make good "hero gathering his/her resolve to kick ass after being beaten down and starts gearing up for a big showdown" music. (I know there's a trope out there with a much better name for it, but I can't think of it atm.)
To me the cymbals/drums sounded good throughout the whole song.

I like the title!

I really like how this piece starts out. Quiet, not much going on, and then all of a sudden it picks up. I can imagine over a rather long scene in a movie where not much is happening and then the action picks up a bit, and then slows down at the end. I thought it was a great way to end it!

Well, here's a new composition. This took the longest time for me to complete what with the tests and trying to tweak the parts that doesn't fit.

Fall and Rise - 4shared

I saw the GS Ball while watching! Also Christmas colors. Way too early for that man. :|

On the music itself, I am disappoint at name choice >:/ I like the piano playing in the background. Not as strong as the other components, but I could pick it up and felt it was a nice addition to the piece. Which was good. If it was the main focus it would be a bit overwhelming, imo.

Which piano? The one that starts almost at the beginning and kinda plays constantly throughout or the one that comes in a little while into the song (the one which is really in the background)?

Fall and Rise
Awesome intro! Love whatever you used in the beginning. The track has a great beat; the instruments seem to be blending well together. There's just one instrument whose beat seems just a bit off from 1:17 - 1:31 - the one that goes bum bum bum bum bum. The italicized "bum" sounds a bit off; a little bit late. Maybe if you could have made it occur a little quicker so it fit with the other instruments it would sound better. It's also off around 2:29 - 2:43; like I said before, if you had just made that fourth "bum" occur a little earlier in the rhythm sequence, I think it would've sounded nicer.

Keep it up! :)

@The Puppetmaster I suppose it would've fit better if that note came in a little before. I just arranged the notes in order (one note starting where the other stops ^^).

And here's my new song. Thanks to @Kakuna Matata for suggesting a pretty image to go with it which is how I came up with the title. ^^

Raining Dreams - 4shared

I've only used multiple bass guitars for this and no other instruments. It's my shortest one too. ._.

This is really beautiful. Honestly, I think this is my favorite of yours so far; it's so relaxing and smooth. I could listen to it for hours and feel absolutely carefree~

Would have been nice if it was longer, but no complaints on the content itself. :)

Oh, and what image inspired the title?

Thanks. ^^

It's better she says it herself. :)

I imagined someone sitting on a windowsill, looking out at the world (in this case a busy street) as rain splashes and trickles down said window.
