It seems to me that James has become much more sensative and caring duing the Battle Frontier Series.
I say this because it is clear that he loves his Pokemon, Chimecho and his Mine.Jr. I personally think that he isn't all that bad a person and am kinda miffed at the fact that he is still in Team Rocket (I mean sure i guess they need him, but I also feel that he would be a better trainer on his own) I was thinking all this whilst watching "Off the unbeaten path!" and James and Mine. Jr obviously make a good team (personally I could guess the out come) but I still think that he is not longer Rocket material. I would love to see him leave - though it will never happen. He is fast becoming one of my fav characters though.
What do other people think on this subject? I would love to know what you all think

Yeah i guess so. I just think that there is more to him than meets the eye...
I kinda feel sorry for him.

Yeah thats so true. But after watching the episode with Chimecho getting ill and his Nana and Popa. He generally didn't wanna upset them, showing he loved them and thus human kindness, which I think has been shown a lot more from him this series. Jessie is just a ______ (fill in blank) and James could be so much better off on his own.

James has been shown like this throughout the whole series.

He's always the one who is more likely to turn "good," while Jessie has an ego the size of Manhattan that prevents her from doing the same.

In other words, Jessie likes to think she's evil, but she's really not. :p

I'm probably with everyone else in saying that the Rocket duo we see every episode isn't truly evil, however, Cassidy and Butch are certainly quite the contrary.

Though James without Jessie and Meowth? That'd be kind of weird, though most never expected Ash to ever travel without Misty... Who knows what the writes will consider in the future. A breakup of the Rocket duo we all know, though, and them leaving the show would be a very major change.

On the other hand... If Brock permanently leaves like Misty pretty much has, and Hikari's going to be gone as we all know, Jessie and James, along with Meowth, could travel with Ash and Pikachu, and Cassidy and Butch could take their place as the Rocket duo who follows.

Not that that'd ever happen. That'd be crazy, though we've seen before that Ash doesn't seem to find them much of a threat at all. By now, jeez, the three are pretty much like Brock is, they're just a few hours behind him as opposed to a few steps.

You have to wonder, though... If they ever did successfully get away with Pikachu, which one of them would have the attack of conscience first, if at all?

Yeah. Unlike Jessie and James, who are just trying to be evil and are incompetent.

Anyone who thinks Musashi and Kojiro are truly bad people obviously isn't all that familiar with the series and the characters. I see their membership in Team Rocket as a rebellion against the people and society that have mistreated them. They did not have normal childhoods, and their unbridled idealism present today seems to be a delayed manifestation of childish behavior.

They were more interesting in Team Righteous ... and any other time they are heroes

I'd love to see James leaving Team Rocket. It'll start the best snowball in the universe. You know that if James leaves, Jessie and Meowth are sure to follow, right? They need each other. They're like... symbiotic beings. Can't have one without the other. They complete each other and when they're apart, they're utterly miserable. So yeah. It could be so awesome. And would bring the end of the anime as we know it. Which is fine by me.

James was always the nice one. He's the Heart of the TRio, after all (with Jessie being the Strength and Meowth being the Brains). But his Reluctant Villain shtick really became more pronounced in AG. Where he would've been whining and complaining about Jessie and Meowth bossing him around in the original series, he resorted to facefaulting at his friends' crazy plans and sighing every time they did something stupid (which is often). He tries to do a lot of things the legal way, he gets all his new Pokemon by being nice to them... he's also more intelligent and levelheaded than he used to be. I'm thinking that's just because it's a new series, they've allowed themselves to... upgrade Team Rocket, so to speak. That's also the reason why Meowth is more of a daydreamer than a philosopher and Jessie is becoming increasingly insane and in need of medication.

(I'm not kidding. I love Jess plenty, but her expressions and reactions to things are getting so freaky they make James and Meowth shake in their boots, metaphorical or not.)

In any case, that doesn't mean Jessie and Meowth are evil or anything. They both have hearts as soft and squishy as marshmallows, and are not TR material as much as James is. The thing is, their mindset is different than James'; they were raised (or raised themselves) in poverty and life flung crap at them like a deranged Primeape, so they had to grow a pretty tough shell to endure it all. Meanwhile, James had a rather good and carefree life when he wasn't taught how to do a bajillion useless things or chased around by a ten-year-old dominatrix bitch-in-training. I guess Jessie and Meowth would've been more compassionate if their lives, y'know, sucked a little less.

I consider that the best part. :)

Speaking of which, I really like all the stuff TR's been doing post-Johto, like Snake is talking about. Watching Episode 2...I'm GLAD they aren't serious villains. They suck'd at that, they were so plain.

We've seen more of the nicer side to Jessie lately too. First with Smoochum and more recently with Pachirisu and Aipom.

I remember when Team Rocket first apeard on the show. They looked really tough and scary. They had no silly emotions, but that changed later in the show. Jessie though at times is still well.. a B**** James seems to have become a softy now. Meowth isn't really bad anymore either.

Well... If there's no more "traditional" generation after IV and Diamond and Pearl Anime ended with James leaving Team Rocket, then there will be a Pokemon spinoff starring James in a more heroic form something similar to Rurroni Kenshin(don't know how to spell his first name) Anime. What do you think?
