The last chapter of 2011 (ignoring that it's already 2012) is out...

Yappy steals the Burst Hearts....

Ryouga gets his butt kicked and has 10 seconds to get out of the water before he loses.

We see him and Garyuu bond in a flashback.

Next week will have a color page....

Actually, the first guy is Gizairu, the guy with the Klang Burst.

He's a ninja. He doesn't want to be seen. Either that or Ryouga's blocking him (Like poor, poor Batz). Picque's nowhere to be seen too.


Or indigo. Depends on how you see it. I didn't realize Pauline was that red...

Checking chapter 4 again, it seems that it might be a coloring error. Chapter 4 shows Ryouga's Burst as black in color.

Ugggh, the more Yappy appears, the more annoying he gets. I bet he learns his lesson near the end, so we would have to deal with him being sneaky and stealing shit for chapters on end.

Oh boy, actual Pokemon appea--and they're gone by the next panel! At this point, you "gotta' glance at 'em all!".

Lil' Ryouga is too cute!

What do you mean? This chapter officially comes out tomorrow, January 4th. Why would it still count as a "December 2011" chapter?
 
I think it's kind of fitting that Ryouga used to say "impossible" a lot as a little kid.

I don't know why that's a problem at all. This series is more about the human characters than the animals who surround them. Quite frankly, I find it refreshing.

Eh, for something with "Pokemon" in its title, you think it would have some focus on the actual creatures as well as having Burst Warriors. Have they ever answered the question that a Burst Warrior is stronger than the actual Pokemon? among other stuff.

Your point does stand though, as this manga series does an interesting take and focuses more on the humans.

Basically, Ryouga keeps attacking. Hariru wakes up and notices a shard of *something* kind of rock-like near. He rushes over to where Ryouga is fighting and tells him to put all his power into one blow. Ryouga decides to listen to what he says.

Meanwhile, Yappy is swimming away with all the Burst Hearts. Some GG grunts are going after him.

The final panel of the chapter says that we'll see the conclusion of the battle next week.

It focuses on the pokemon by focusing on the Burst Warriors. If you want to see stories about the actual pokemon themselves, read one of the other dozens of manga out there.
 
The conclusion of the battle is next week, I'm still curious if the writers are going to just make Ryouma the only useful one in the trio kinda like how in DB Goku was the only useful one in Oolong/Goku/Bulma and sort in Bulma/Goku/Kuririn.

Yappy makes great as comic relief though.
 
So the BHS, which started in Chapter 21, is ending with Chapter 43.

This tournament has literally taken up half the series so far.

And so Yappy after his arduous journey finally spots a nearby landmass, and upon reaching it, declares how he's successfully escaped and will go and sell everyone's Burst Hearts... then spots that he's gone round in a circle and is back at the BHS. :|
