I've read accounts of people's Japanese HG/SS save datas becoming unreadable. When you turn the game on, a message pops up saying "The contents of your save file have disappeared". Apparently this tends to happen if you save and quit/soft reset immediately after you take part in the Pokethlon. I've also heard of a similar glitch where the game fails to load your file if you close the DS directly after pausing a Battle Video, or during the Suicune battle. Does anyone else know more about this?

btw, these glitches have made me too scared to explore the Pokethlon and the Battle Videos...

Then don't save/quit/reset right after the Pokethlon. What exactly is so hard about that?

I heard that they fixed the "closing your DS" glitch in all non-Japanese versions. I've never heard about a Pokethlon glitch, though.

I had heard of the Battle Video bug before, but not those two others. I'd get totally pissed off, though, if a game bug deleted any of my Pokémon, let alone forcing me to start the story all over again.

I've had my game freeze up on me a couple of times, but I always figured I had bumped the game cart or something without realizing it. This thread has officially scared the crap out of me. ;.;
