New WiFi Event - Manaphy

Within a flyer at the McDonalds restaurants in Japan, there was a note indicating that a new Wi-Fi event is going to occur in Japan following the current Ash's Pikachu Wi-Fi event. This event is based upon the Pokémon Manaphy and can be downloaded on all Generation IV Pokémon games. It holds a Lansat Berry and has the moves Aqua Ring and Water Sport among others. This event is set to begin on August 14th 2010 and will end on September 12th 2010
I'm looking forward to this one

Woah, lol, let's take it easy on the caps.

Yeah, though, Wi-Fi events are always good, since you can get them outside Japan if you got a Japanese game. Manaphy's been given out quite a bit in Gen IV, but not for some time.

Will this ever get an English verision release? Could we see this event between the enigma stone and the english 10th aniversary Mew??

10th Anniv Mew will prolly be in November, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of G/S in the US.

I think a Manaphy event is pointless. In fact, Goon's Scizor and Ash's Pikachu have been wtf events. Azure Flute, Rally, Amity Meadow and Sightseeing please >>

I missed the TRU Manaphy event a long time ago, and I'm not paying $30 for a ranger game so I hope this does carry over to America.

Nintendo has been very good about carrying over major events, so I'm sure we might get this over Wi-Fi.

If they do this outside Japan, it probably won't be anytime soon. Not even counting the Ranger games, there've been 3 Manaphy giveaways already. And they've still got Pokewalker Courses to get through after the Enigma Crystal. Not to mention the Crown Beasts and Celebi, whether by retail or wi-fi.

I think they need to shorten up the lengths of the events cut them down to about 2 - 2 1/2 weeks, and catch up on the english realeses for the wi-fi events.

As if we didn't have a million Manaphy already. The only reason I want this is for the berry.

I agree shorten up the WiFi events (do not shorten the retail events i need time to get to the stores for those)and give us more of them to many walker courses left and diferent legendaries other then Jirachi! Come on how many have there been i think i have 3 diff kinds.

I think it would be senseable to have a retail event and a wi-fi event going on at the same time.

With Nintendo taking their sweet time with the events over here in the US, I wouldn't be surprised if they skipped over Manaphy. I'd like one, though. I've only ever gotten the Ranger one, and so I've never got the opportunity to reset for a better nature.

More info, the Manaphy is level 50 holding the Lansat Berry, it's moves are Aqua Ring, Water Pulse, Water Sport, and Heart Swap; and appears to be a Mild Nature.

Only knows level up moves, has an all right nature (Lowering Defence though >>). Pretty mediocre.

Why do they set the nature on the non-shiny events? >>

They don't always... I'm not sure why they would in this case, tbh. They must think that a Mild nature is appropriate to the theme of this giveaway. Or something. :sweatlol:

I'm more of a collector of events than someone who trains and battles with them; so I guess I don't usually give much thought to event natures.
