Teh Japanz has spoken out on what they think is to be considered the best games of all time.

Not a bad list I say. However, I can't help but notice how Western games simply got the shaft when it comes to the consumer preferences of the Japanese market. There are only four games out of a hundred that are non-Japanese.

I seriously can't believe how Final Fantasy VIII got a higher place than VI or VII. *sigh* Oh well. :/

Wow. I'm really happy to see that Valkyrie Profile is just shy of the top 25, and one place higher than Chrono Trigger. *_* VP always seems so underrated here, which is almost heartbreaking... (*laughs*

All the Tales games are amusing. Five on the entire list..! To think the US has only gotten two of them, and neither sold as well as the (unlisted) Symphonia...

Hmm...the only place Pokémon got on that list was the original Red/Green at #51.

I seriously can't believe how Final Fantasy VIII got a higher place than VI or VII. *sigh* Oh well. :/

In a US wesite I think it came 1st, so in comparison to that that's pretty disappointing.

For me The Legend of Zelda:OoT is the best game ever.

These were voted on by the readers of Famitsu, which means that the vote will be swayed by the larger, more casual audience - the kind that plays nothing but Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. It's really no different from a similar list in the West saying Halo 2, GTA San Andreas, and Madden 2006 (or Fifa 2006 for the Europeans) are the best games of all time.
