Jewelry, Makeup, Other Accessories...

Let's talk about jewelry! Do you like? How frequently do you wear jewelry? What type of jewelry do you wear? Do you like necklaces, bracelets, rings? Do you have any piercings? I like to wear necklaces, earrings, bracelets and my preferences are silver or gold. My favorites are my diamond stud earrings and heart pendant silver necklace.

Also if you are or even if you're not into jewelry, what other accessories might you wear? I like to wear flowers, and I like sun hats, cloche hats, and beanies with pom poms! I also like to wear those plastic headbands sometimes to keep my hair in place. :)

Edit: Also if you're into makeup, what type of makeup do you wear?

I have a silver heart necklace that I wear every day, and a butterfly necklace that I used to wear daily before I got the heart.
I have a bunch of earrings too, but I don't wear them that often because my hair falls over my ears - I save them for special days, mostly.

As for hair, I'm always putting roses and floral headbands in my hair. They're really great in winter, too, just cheers me up every time I see them.

I used to have watches and rings, but my wrists and hands are so small they slip right off.

I wear this every day. Not really my style but I do like non-green jade, and my boyfriend gave it to me so I wear it. I also wear a plain silver band on my ring finger that I never take off unless I'm washing my hair (it got dinged up a lot from falling off from hair conditioner when washing my hair so I don't want to ding it up any more than it already is). Other than that, I've got six holes in my left ear and three in my right with plain old stainless steel rings through them (two are blue though), and a dragon ring that I go through periods of never taking off, and not wearing at all. I don't have any other piercings and I don't really wear any other jewelry unless I'm going out with my parents to some fancy restaurant and have to dress up.

Speaking of which, I have a crapton of fancypants jewelry that I only wear on those occasions. My favourites are any of the sapphire stuff cause I like blue. I have some ruby stuff too and emerald stuff and diamond stuff and waaaaay too much pearl crap because my birth "stone" is pearl (I hate pearls, so boring. The most boring of all the birthstones~). I have some other stuff too that I can't really identify myself. I know some are topaz, but some are like this teal-ish colour stones (I know some are aquamarine but the other I think might be blue topaz?) and some are pink stones that I've no bloody clue what they are. Mostly rings and earrings, and some pendants. Most of it 24k gold but some silver and platinum too. Oh and some fancypants watch I got from my grandma once upon a mizillion years ago for either high school graduation or some random birthday, can't remember. None of this stuff is really my style though. I figure if I have a daughter she'll love the hell out of my jewelry box though so I won't sell it. It'll just gather dust in my closet.

I usually prefer to wear my hair down but I live in Miami where it's like 90F every day and too much humidity and my hair's really long so I usually have it up in a ponytail. I never leave the house without my sunglasses though, even when I used to live in places where it snowed during the winter. They're a kickass pair of silver Oakleys with blue lenses and blue flames on the sides. Even if it's nighttime they're on my head as a headband or whatever~ My "signature look" is mostly related to my makeup though, not my jewelry.
 
The only jewelry I really wear when I go out are necklaces and bracelets. I have this really cute colorful owl necklace that I always wear when I shop and go to work, and a cute bracelet that has a dog, cat, and bear charm on it. I used to wear earrings constantly but my ears got an infection from them a couple years ago, so I haven't worn earrings since.

For rings, I only wear a golden ring on my index finger every once in a while, I'm not really much on having a lot of them on my fingers. As for hair accessories, I like to wear headbands to hold my hair back and sometimes I'll put on a cute flower clip.

Haha I'm not a huge huge pearl person either. I just generally tend to prefer other types of jewelry, but I sorta like cream, peach or rosaline pearls and would wear them as earrings or in necklaces. Rubies, sapphires and emeralds are all so gorgeous! I also love amethyst because violet is one of my favorite colors and I'm thinking of ordering a necklace made with amethyst and quartz.

I also just wanted to say that I've been thinking about making a thread on makeup too, because I happen to LOVE makeup!

300 dollars for makeup?! That's pretty amazing! I don't spend much on makeup since most makeup I get is pretty cheap but I'll save that for another thread!

Since I was taking pictures (and procrastinating studying for finals), here's two more:

My shades (actually have four pairs I think? Yes, of the same ones. I also have some black ones somewhere)

My mini jewelry box I use for travelling. My actual jewelry box is stuffed into the back of my closet under a bunch of crap and I'm too lazy to go dig it out. Maybe some other time if I get bored and feel like playing closet tetris ^^;; So... three pairs of earrings, three rings, three bracelets, and a pendant with chain.

I mostly wear earrings when I want to feel dressy. Usually, it's just the one necklace and a couple rings.
 
Just a watch kind of like this, which I wear everyday.

I also wear a brown fedora whenever it's sunny or rainy.
 
Oh I can't live without my watch (a super cheapo G-shock watch, not the aforementioned fancypants one). It's got one of those light-up buttons so I can see what time it is if I wake up in the middle of the night. Yes, I even sleep with my watch on (although I don't wear it in the shower). I'm constantly checking it like the crazy OCD person I am and will not be happy if I forget to put it back on after a shower and leave the house without it.
 
There are a couple of pieces of jewelry i wear daily.

I have two piercings in each ear so I keep studs in those. I cant do any kind of dangling earrings just because of how long my hair is.
The only ring I wear is my class ring from high school. The only times I take it off is when I get my nails done.

Then I wear a necklace everyday that I got from my grandmother for graduation. I love it so much that I've almost never taken it off since receiving it.

Oh, man, I forgot to mention make-up.

Usually I only put on lip color - my personal favorite is e.l.f in Pink Lemonade, but I sometimes wear deeper pinks and reds for a special occasion. Special occasions are pretty much the only time I put on eye make-up too.
And I looooove nail polishes! I usually wear pink, sparkly ones; something kinda subtle, kinda grabbing.
 
As for makeup I usually prefer liquid liner (I prefer it over pencil and I'll explain why in another thread) and mascara. I'm not too picky on brands and I usually buy them from CVS in their beauty isle. My favorite colors to polish my nails are light pink, strawberry pink, black, violet, and more.

Notice: I just included makeup to the OP so that we're not getting off topic. :)
 
I prefer liquid liner too but most of my makeup is Urban Decay, and they don't really make liquid liners in the colours I like. I buy liquid liners from Yves St. Laurent but they only make one colour I like :\ I like to use colours like pink, electric blue, sapphire blue, or teal as eyeliner, then fill in the rest of my lids with black eyeshadow. ... so then I tried to explain this properly in words and was failing miserably so here's a picture of my eyeball, have fun with that. ^<__<^;;

Sometimes when I have nothing better to do (like right now procrastinating studying for finals as usual) I'll put some mascara on my outside upper eyelashes but in general the only makeup I wear is eyeliner, eyeshadow, and lipstick/lip liner (I guess I use an eyebrow pencil too now that I think about it). I can't stand foundation/powder/concealer/whatever so I never wear that stuff. Plus, living here in Miami it'll just melt off my face anyway so why bother. For lipstick I use these (does it count as studying if my notes are in the background...?). The top one is my favourite, and the second-to-last one I generally only use when I'm going out with my parents. The one above that is "I don't have time for lipliner todaaaaaaaaay." The last one used to be my favourite. Still nice but the weird thing about it? It smells like CHOCOLATE. WHY. Don't eat lipstick, people. They're all from Urban Decay cept the last one, which is Smashbox. From top to bottom: Shame, Venom, Speedball, Sheer Shame, Sheer Ladyflower, and Ravishing. I've got a ton more makeup all over the damn place but I don't use the rest as often.

For nailpolish I use black on my toes (ORLY brand cause the brand name is hilarious and it's so hard to find not-watery black polish m8s) and a super-dark blood red for my fingernails (Chanel brand). Sometimes I'll use a metallic ruby shade (Urban Decay's Gash) because you only need one coat of that stuff and no bottom or top coat so it's good if I'm in a rush.
 
Accessories: my atomic watch. It can tell me the exact time anywhere in the world, which means that, on those rare occasions that I travel, I never have to "reset" my watch.

Former accessories: I used to have a wind up mechanical pocket watch. Dunno what happened to it...
My grandfather's WWII dogtags. I used to wear those every day after my grandfather died. Now I can't wear them because if the chain were to get caught in one of the motors I'm testing, I'd be in trouble. Instead, I keep those polished and in the shadow box with all my grandfather's medals.
