okay, here's the plot
Josh has a well earned vacation from his job at Team Guardian, and, although much to his dismay, decides to take on the battle frontier, as he hasn't done anything like it since he was fifteen.
the plot is two years from the event of any of my previous RPGs, and Josh's 20th birthday is comming up, and soon. he travels with his pokemon to take on the battle frontier. other trainers join him to either to do the same thing, or take part in the Kanto pokemon contests
this is a very long running RPG, designed for up to four people, with the basic plot as follows: challenge the battle frontier, join the crowd or challenge the Kanto pokemon contest.
however, there is a twist
at the end of the journey, at the Indigo plateau, a tournement is held for the champions to crown the ultimate champion of champions!
the form is easy to fill out, as per usual.
I'll fill in my info as an example
Name: Josh Vendradoff
Age: 19
personality: kind, welcoming, laid back, but becomes serious yet cool headed in a battle situation. preffers to let his pokemon battle for themselves rather than give them commands, unless he can see a perfect strategic move, or if they need help
physical appearance: wears a tweed waistcoat and striped shirt, jeans and trainers. However, he's being given a clothes change very soon.
Pokemon:
1. Blaziken (can talk, knows a wide variety of flying and psychic moves, stays out of pokeball unless it is a medical emergencey, has a similar personality to josh, but a bit more sarcastic)
2. charizard (abnormally large, bit of a prankster)
3. Pidgeot (headstrong and cocky)
4. Nidoking (has a major anger management problem, looses his temper very easily)
5. Feraligatr (happy go lucky, sees the bright side of every situation)
6. Manectric (stuck up and selfish, preffers to see herself as Josh's owner rather than the other way around)
reserves:
Houndoom (cowardly, and almost constantly upset)
Riolu (hatched from the egg given to Josh by the mother Lucario after a team Galaxy attack. looks up to Blaziken as a father figure)
Prinplup (evolved from the Piplup Josh recieved after beating the elite four in a friendly tournament. shares a friendly and cheerful rivalry with Houndoom)
friend pokemon: (my my, isn't this a new section? well, I'll explain. friend pokemon are wild pokemon which continuosly return in the character's lives because of a mutual friendship (like frontier brain Noland and Articuno, or Ash and Haunter in the first series). this can be any three pokemon from anywhere in the pokedex, including legendaries, but you have to remmember, these pokemon are your friends. you don't own them, so you can't use them in battle. they may do some battling, but they will do it for dramatic effect, rather than the progress of your character)
1.Moltres (befriended moltres while on a journey in the islands. helped her out when the rare occasion of a moltres community occured in a volcano, and she had trouble being impressing the alpha male (hey, dudes, you think legendaries are immortal? think again. the world wouldn't allow their cpature if there was only one of them, well, maybe except for mew or mewtwo))
2.Mewtwo (met once, Blaziken and mewtwo locked horns to match psychic skills, with mewtwo as the victor. Mewtwo said that he would find them one day to help Blaziken improve his psychic prowess)
3. Blazilord (Blaziken's more powerful clone, who uses dark and ice moves along with his own fire, fighting, psychic and flyingmoves who was freed from slavery of team rocket. when Josh met him again, the cloned pokemon had his own set of clothes, pokeballs and pokedex, and was one of the first pokemon on the planet to become an indpendant trainer. he usually carries six pokemon allies with him, but on certain occassions, he only carries five, making himself his sixth pokemon (wierd huh?))
anyway. oh yeah. you can only have ONE legendary as a usable pokemon. more than one will require me to ask you to edit your pokemon list or you cannot play
godmodding - how to avoid it: simple really. when in battle, don't type "slaking used shaddow ball, it was super effective" type "slaking used a shaddowball attack, with intent on hitting ralts" this shows that you have initianted an attack, allowing your player opponent to respond, rather than there being a certain hit. you also need to accept loss. Ash lost alot of his battles, as did alot of the champions of the pokemon leagues. Every great trainer looses some times. also, if another player initiates an event, that means they have to finish it in the way they intended it to end, so no taking over, because no one knows their idea better than the person who thought of it first.

as Josh left his house in pallet town that spring morning, he took in a deep breath and sighed
"well, this looks like a good time for a vacation, right?" he asked. Blaziken staggered out the door behind him, yawned and stretched and stared at the sunny sky with josh
"yeah..." he started "but why did you have to get me up so early?"
"well, yeah. if we wanna get started on the battle frontier, we gotta start early" Josh explained, a smile on his face "besides, the Prof and Ash wanna talk to us first" Blaziken sighed and rubbed his eyes
"well, it better be worth it"
entering the lab, Josh and Blaziken wave to Professor Oak and Ash with smiles on their faces
"so what did you want to talk about, professor?" Josh asked
"well, I was thinking. your Riolu could do with some experience on the battle field" the professor explained "so, I was wondering if you wouldn't mind exchanging him for a pokemon of yours"
"hm... well, it will be tough, but Riolu should be with us. I give you manectric for now" Josh stated "we could do with a more positive attitude on our team"
"oh yeah" Ash started "I almost forgot" Ash presented Josh with a box. opening it, Josh saw a blue bandana, black t-shirt and jeans "your mom mailed them to me to give you yesterday. she says you need a new look for a while" Josh sweatdropped
"well, she's not wrong there" Blaziken stated
"Hey!" Josh exclaimed.
after Josh got changed and exchanged pokemon, the three left the lab, Riolu sitting on Blaziken's shoulder.
heading out of Pallet town, the three tried to imagine who they'd face first...
