Journey_Of_Dreams_by_jerry8448.jpg

Legend speaks of a ship that can traverse across dreams. Every night as the world is asleep, the ship flies through the air and into dreams. The dreams can be wonderful, or daring. Scary or weary of what may happen. Whatever it is, you can quite possibly find it there. An adventure for all ages. The captain a man who gladly takes others along, dreamers in the world, that dream above all. So do your dream above all? Will the captain choose you to traverse the World of Dreams?

Rules:
  • I am GM and my word is law
  • No Godmodding
  • No Tennising
  • No Bunnying
  • No fighting (outside of the RP)
  • Keep it PG-13
  • Please refrain from clogging the actual start up with OOC
  • Make sure to read all GM posts because they are for the main purpose of moving the story along, though you should actually be reading everything.

What the RP is about:
Basically you will be a human who dreams big, or and this will be only a select few, a member of the crew. In the RP we will traverse dreams of many. Some may be fun, some may be rough. The dreams will be what we can imagine. If you want to host an adventure in a dream then let me know. Also if you read everything like you were supposed to, then in your SU put what they will be traversing. Also just tossing it into the Other spot does not count, and it will not count if bolded or underlined either. I want to see it hidden.

Personality: I'm not asking for super detailed, but I should be able to get a good basic idea of your character
History: What was their life like and what is it like now?
Other:

My SUs
Name: Ibrahim Mazur AKA Captain Abe or just Abe
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Appearance: Abe has shortish brushed back black hair and a no mustache goatee. He is tall and slim with striking emerald eyes and slightly tanned skin. What he wears...well that often depends on the dream though it is usually high quality.
Personality: Abe is adventurous and just enjoys an all together good time. He is intelligent and resourceful and who knows dreams better than him? No one as far as anyone can tell. He can be sarcastic, kind, mischievous, all together unexpected. More than anything though he loves to show others the World of Dreams.

Name: Ricardo "Chris-Chan" Brandon Anderson
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Appearance: Ricardo is not a healthy individual. Despite being roughly 5'10, he weighs in at over 210 pounds. This is combined with the fact that he rarely showers, leaving his balding brown hair short and greasy. He has pale skin due to the fact that he never goes outside. He also has heterochromia: One of his eyes is blue, while the other is green. As far as clothes, Chris hasn't bought a new shirt in years, and tends to wear the same one for days on end. Right now he has on a red polo with white and blue horizontal stripes. To keep his rather impressive manboobs under control, he wears a bra.

Personality: While likely older than most of his traveling companions, Chris is exceedingly immature. Not so much in that his interests are things that kid would like, although that is true. But more in that he's extremely irresponsible. In his mind, nothing is ever his fault. He's also extremely selfish: He's almost always looking out for number one. Finally, he's extremely intolerant of others. That said, he can be kind at times. But it's like a shooting star: blink, and you'll miss it.
History: Ricardo was born to Bob and Barbara Anderson. He lived in Virginia most of his life. When he was child, he had a babysitter who he claims locked him in his room all day when she babysat him. He claims this is the reason he's irresponsible and kind of a huge dick, but it's more likely this is just an excuse, and possible that he's just making all of this up. He claims his homophobia stems from the principal of his elementary school trying to make Chris sit on his lap. This probably didn't happen, but Bob tried to sue the school, and Barbara began homeschooling Chris. Chris lived like this until he attended college. There, he took an interest in drawing comic books. He created a character named Sonichu, and began trying to sell the (poorly-drawn) comics. The dean found out about this, and told him he couldn't. Chris threw a tantrum, and attacked her, leading to his expulsion from the school. Ever since, he's lived at home, drawing comics and complaining on the internet. It was there that he took the name Chris-Chan. At night, he traverses the Dream World.
Other: He has a Sonichu Medallion.

No, no, no, he hasn't bought a new shirt in years. He wears them for days on end. Granted, that's still pretty gross, but it's possible. And I'm not exactly sure what the password is supposed to be? I read everything, but it's a tad confusing. But alright, alright, I dig, I dig. I'll make some other character, then.

On that note, are we allowed to have our characters look different in their dreams? Like, maybe I could be a dude in a wheelchair who dreams he has legs? Or maybe a dude who likes pirates, so is dressed like one in his dreams? I mean, he wouldn't act like a pirate that would be too silly. But he just looks like one in his dreams.

Yes the character could be in a wheelchair. And they can change appearance in the dreams, however not by a lot so he wouldn't able to have legs, but would be in a modified wheelchair.

Name: Will Vermillion
Age: 15
Gender: Male

Appearance: Will stands at 5,6 and weighs 120 lbs. His body has a slender frame, with slim arms and legs. His skin is a pale olive tone, with light blue eyes and pin straight black hair with long bangs. Will's often considered a pretty boy, his features being rather soft and almost feminine. Will typically wears a light blue button up collared shirt with a yellow tie, and a pair of dark blue designer jeans with a pair of brown leather loafers.

Personality: Will is serious at almost all times. He acts mature for his age, carrying himself with formal and refined body language and speaking using a broad and sophisticated vocabulary. He has a rather no nonsense attitude, and he chooses to simply avoid anything he deems as childish. However, deep down. He's very lonely, and has a childish side which he refuses to show anyone. He keeps people at an arms length because of some trust issues from his childhood, and resents being treated like a child. He also despises being called "Shorty" or "Squirt" Because of his age and stature. He doesn't know it, but in the world of his dreams, he yearns to be accepted by others, and actually live out some of joy and innocence of childhood he never had.

History: Will's only true companion was his mother, who treated him kindly. His family was a rather wealthy, and his father rarely talked to him. However, Will's mother passed away in an accident while traversing from work to home, when Will was six, and he was all alone. Will's father never spent time with him, and Will was all alone. He spent his time reading and learning, something he enjoyed very much. Will studied hard in school, and ended up skipping several grades in high school because of his shear intelligence. Despite his age, he's actually a college student. However, many of the college students at his school look down on him because of his age, and they often make fun of him. His father's increasing distance and these hardships have caused him to harden, and lock away his inner child, so he will be looked upon more favorably, however. Most of these efforts were in vain.

Name: Peter Lanston
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Appearance: Peter is a thinner child with short, well kept black hair and thin-framed glasses. His clothing of choice is usually a simple polo-shirt and jeans, though on special occasions he'll wear a white-button up with khakis and a necktie.

Personality: Peter is a kind-hearted individual, but is also somewhat shy and timid, which sometimes carries over into his dreams. He fears danger and risk, and so prefers to stay at home where he's safe, curled up with a good book. Deep down he wishes he could be brave and go on an adventure, but he has a hard time mustering up the courage to do so. Although he is shy, he is loyal to his friends and will stick by them no matter what.

History: Peter had a sheltered life growing up, and as such grew to view the world as a sort of scary place due to his unfamiliarity. In school he always maintained good grades, which unfortunately led to him being picked on by bullies. Needing to wear glasses didn't help either, as he was often called demeaning names like "bookworm," "four-eyes," and "nerd," among other things. Although the bullying lessened over time, it still left him feeling insecure and timid.

However, it wasn't all bad for him. He developed a strong fondness for reading, mostly adventure and fantasy books. He always dreamed of one day breaking out of his shell and going on a grand quest, traversing far-off lands and discovering lost treasures. His nights in the world of dreams often took him to these places, where he could be whatever he wanted to be without fear of danger. In the real world, he's insecure, timid, and a little pessimistic. But in his dreams, he is brave, strong, courageous, and always ready to start a new adventure.

Other: (Because every character has to have theme music. =P)

Theme - Far Horizons

Ship

Name: Jona Mason

Age: 13

Gender: Male

Appearance: Jona is very short for age, barely standing at a metre tall. He wears his dark hair short and his clothes just as neat; shoes, shirt, shorts. Nothing all that fancy.
Personality: He is a shy boy, often retracting completely from social interaction. He is quiet, meek, reserved. On his own, though, he really comes out of his shell. As such, he is somewhat immature. He mutters to himself of tales of fantasy that he has carried with him ever since early childhood.

History: For as long as Jona can remember, he has been bullied. Since the start of his school life, Jona has been an easy target due his unusually short stature and meek demeanor. He isn't even safe at home; his older brother, Noah, was in fact the source of a great deal of his torment. It is because of this that Jona has come to like loneliness. He has no friends, no one to talk to and his idea of humanity is incredibly low. But in Jona's opinion, this is still better than the alternative.

Having recently starting the eighth grade, things are only getting worse for Jona. He often has nightmares of the ordeal that he suffers at his new school. To cope, he has invented an imaginary character with psychic powers that he uses to gain swift and violent vengeance against his tormentors.

He yearns for the freedom just to be who he really is.
