AC had his Ralts in his arms as he ran to Professor Birch's lab. He had spent a week to get to Littleroot Town all the way from Mossdeep City, where he was from. He was finally able to become a trainer and challenge the league at the age of 17, so here he was standing right before the Professor's Lab. He was about to take the first step towards become a trainer. He had to wait this long because of his parents' restrictions, as they had wanted him to become a scientist first and a trainer second. So, once he had become a scientist at the Space Center, he was able to become a trainer.

Before stepping into the lab, he noticed all the Pokemon in the backyard ranch of the farm. He hoped that he too would meet and capture a lot of Pokemon on his journey. With that last thought, he took a deep breath and opened the door to the lab. Inside, there were three Pokeballs on a table, a healing machine, lots of books on Pokemon and several people in labcoats working on computers. They were so busy that none of them noticed this young trainer enter the lab. So, AC just walked past them and he saw the Professor reading a book. He was a man in his thirties with brown hair.

"Sorry to interrupt Professor," AC said, "But I'm here to register and get my Pokedex."

Professor Birch looked up from his book and saw this trainer in a black suit with a black top hat with a white stripe on it. "Well, hello there! I am Professor Birch. I guess you're going to be starting a new journey and is that Ralts going to be your starter or will you be choosing a traditional starter?" he asked.

"I'll be using my Ralts, I'm here to register and get my Pokedex," AC replied.

"Very well, I'll get you ready," the Professor said. He went and got AC a Pokedex and then registered him as a trainer. "Here you go, now you are an official trainer. You may take on the league. In fact, I say that you should start with Rustboro City and challenge Roxanne. Will you be travelling alone?" the Professor said handing AC a pokedex.

"Well I guess I will be travelling alone. Thanks for the advice, I'll head to Rustboro City then," AC said.

"You know you'll probably meet people along the way that will want to travel with you. It's always good to have friends," the Professor said.

"Thanks for the advice, Professor Birch. I guess I should now head towards Rustboro City," AC said and then he turned around and started to make for the door.

OOC: Actually, Littleroot Town is the first town in Hoenn.

Noa walked up to the door of the lab. He still had jet lag from the flight, in which he came to Littleroot, all the way from Castelia City. Noa opened the door, with his Tepig cradled in his arms. He walked straight to the back of the lab, and turned to the Professa. "Um...hello, sir." he said. "I'm here to register for the Pokemon league."

"Hello there, I'm Professor Birch," the Professor said as he looked at the boy, "I'll register you, but first I'm going to need your name. Also what will you be using as a starter?"

AC looked at the boy who had just came in as he was about to leave. Another new trainer, prehaps he'd want to journey with me, he thought to himself.

"My name's Noa Alor." Noa said, confidently. "And I'll be using Tepig here as a starter." The fire-type cheered.

"Tepig, huh? A fine choice," Professor Birch said as he went and registered Noa. He soon returned with a Pokedex as well. "Hope you have fun on your journey and meet new friends and Pokemon along the way," he said as he bid farewell.

Camille got to Littleroot Town, and went looking for the lab. A single Pokeball was on her waist. She noticed a couple Trainers near a large building, so she entered the lab. "Excuse me sir, I'm here to register for the Pokemon Contests." She said, bowing respectfully upon entry.

"Hello, I'm Professor Birch. So you're going to challenge contests? So, you're going to want to compete in the Grand Festival...Very well, I'll just need your name and then you're set," Professor Birch said to the girl.

AC looked at the girl, what if she'd want to tag along with me, he thought. He, then approached the boy who had just stopped talking to Professor Birch and said, "Hello, I'm AC. I saw you talking to the Professor, I guess you're going to start a journey. That's what I'm going to do, if you want we can journey together."

"Camille O'Brien." Camille said, looking at the Pokeball on her waist with a sad expression.

"I'll be back," the Professor said. He returned with a Pokedex and said, "Here you go, I hope you do have fun on your journey." The professor noticed that Camille had a sad look on her face and asked, "What's wrong Camille?"

Camille accepted the Pokedex, and sighed. "You see, I have a problem with my Pokemon." She said, holding it up. "I'm lucky if it acknowledges my existence."

"I see...Well this journey that you are about to embark on is something that will help you bond with your Pokemon. Whether it is battling side by side or dazzling the audience in contests, you will definitely bond with your Pokemon. So, just give it time," the Professor replied.

Camille nodded, and reattached the Pokeball to her belt. "Okay. Thank you." She said, bowing and turning to leave.

Would she want to tag along, AC kept on thinking.

Camille noticed two guys near the door, and decided to stop and talk. "Hi." She said, wishing she could have said more than that.

"Hello," AC said, "You're a new trainer, too I guess." He smiled at the girl. His Ralts, who was in his arms, burrowed his face into AC's chest. "Excuse my Ralts, he's a bit shy around practically everyone. We have to get over that," AC said.

"Actually, I'm a coordinator... sort of." camille said. "My Pokemon is far worse, behavior-wise."

"A coordinator, huh? Well that's different...I'm going to take on the league," AC replied, "Well, what's wrong with your Pokemon? Could I see it?"

Camille let out a sigh, and opened her Pokeball. A Murkrow appeared, and landed on a table, preening its feathers.

"A Murkrow? That's cool! Flying-types always amuse me," AC cheered. AC looked at the Murkrow, it wasn't doing much. "The Murkrow doesn't seem that bad," AC then added.

AC then extended his arm in an attempt to pet the Murkrow.

Murkrow pecked at his hand, then flew into the air. "Murkrow, come here." Camille said in as firm a tone as she could. Murkrow ignored her.
