You know how you guys post something every time this ph34r (or whatever his name is) attacks? Well, it seems to me that that's kinda like giving him attention and might be encouraging him. So maybe you guys shouldn't include things like attacks in your histories, at least not until a while after it's happened.

Also, do BulbaGarden and BulbaNews have to be on the same server? It's kinda annoying when both go down at the same time...

It's not like we have the money to put them on different servers. The only reason SPP does is because he doesn't pay for his own hosting.

As for giving attention to the guy....the difference between this guy and a spammer is the same difference between a schoolyard bully who beats the shit out of you, and a bully who only attacks with words. One you can ignore, one you can't.

You don't have to ignore him, I just think you shouldn't post news articles about him.

I mean, retaliate, but he probably thinks it's pretty cool/ amusing that he gets his own news article every time he attacks.

I'd be willing to help out with that. I could host BulbaNews :)

And if he's looking to be front page, then he should go and get in the news. :p

Kidding aside, yeah, why bother putting him there? Waste of space imho. Just say "Had some downtime, but we're back now." :/

Steve has informed me that it is possible to put subdomains on separate accounts - so Bulbanews need not go down with the rest of Bulbagarden.

One thing though: Bulbanews needs access to the Bulbagarden Archives image repository locally - so it has to at least remain within the same server complex (using NFS mounts), or, more reasonably, on the same server (using a known readable/writable directory).

That shouldn't be hard

/home/bulbanews/public_html/wiki/
/home/bulbaarchives/public_html/wiki/

That should be easy enough to do.
