Ok, so i have been thinking about writing and trying hard to finish a fic, so i figured to motivate myself i would try an idea i havent seen alot of people do. i was thinking, and how do you guys like this?


A journey fic, but after the 1st gym or so the main character gets an offer to join Team rocket. He accepts, but then his best friend, stays on the good side and joins the police force, causing him to become the rival. And when the main character battles, if it is a worthwhile pokemon, he will try to steal it. But he wont stay after it for forever (jessie and james/pikachu :p) He will then send the pokemon to the boss, and move up the ranks. So basically a journey from a team rocket guy.

What do you guys think? Any feedback would be helpful.
 
I think it would be an interesting twist to a typical journey fic, but what would be the ultimate end to the story?
 
hmm, thats something that im trying to work out, ive thought of three alternative endings.

1. He gets to be the top rank in TR, beats all gym leaders and conquers Kanto

2. He becomes boss of rocket, then has a final battle with his rival, where the rival triumphss

3. he beats all gyms, then continues on to other regions and slooooooly rises up rocket ranks
 
I like it. Go for it!
But what about your other fic? Is that done for?
 
Ya, sadly. I told you that on vm :p. lol, anyway, i guess ill get starting with a plotline then. a more detailes one anyway.
 
Hmm. This could be a nice twist on a typical journey fic. Go for it!
 
It sounded boring at the start, but by the end, I think this could actually work. Some suggestions though:

If you're going to go with the "Good Wins!" ending, then I suggest thinking up someway to return the stolen Pokémon. Also, try to have some conflict, not just "Join Team Rocket?" "OK!", because that would be very disappointing. Maybe have the character tricked into Team Rocket, and then they learn about the truth of Team Rocket does, but cannot leave the comfortable life they offer, and the conflict continues inside the character until they quit or become "evil".
