Luke, a Bulbasaur, sat alone in a corner of Medita Town, staring at a tree, downcast. His friends had abandoned him, since they had evolved, and he hadn't been able to; thus, he had become a figure of mockery, and, from there, a social reject. Ever since, he was totally by himself. He hadn't seen another non-hostile pokemon in the town for a long time- not counting, of course, trained pokemon.
If only, he wished; If only I had a second chance at having friends.

A voice with a distinctly southern accent shouted from somewhere, “Git back here, ya little bugger!”

Shortly after the voice, and Absol came sprinting down the east path, and into the town.
"Everybody move or get trampled!" it yelled.

Of course, the humans didn't understand the Absol's warning, but knew well enough to step aside; its mere presence was a bad omen. The scene did, however, catch Luke's attention.

A Pignite was chasing the Absol, clearly angry at it. “Ah'm gunna make yew reeeeal sorry!”

"Hey, tell you what, if you can catch me, I'll let you do whatever you want!" the Absol called back. It slowed to a stop, did a backflip over the Pignite, and ran around the corner of the nearest building.

The Pignite let out a roar of outrage, and ran after the Absol, its nostrils spewing smoking.

Luke was captivated, and followed the Pignite.

The Absol circled the building until she ended up just behind Luke and the Pignite. She followed them slowly, trying to keep as quiet as possible.

The Pignite looked around, scratching his head. “Now where'd she run off tew?”

Luke took the opportunity to voice his curiosity.
"Uh...What's happening?"

The Absol cringed as Luke spoke, knowing that it would make the Pignite turn around and notice her, but still kept silent.

Not noticing Luke behind him, he explained, “That dern Absol got around mah berries. No one touches mah berries!”

The Pignite whirled around, nostrils flaring. “Well, when ah say they're mah berries, they're mah berries!” It shot a burst of flame at the Absol(and, accidently, at Luke).

Luke shuffled back, the flames not quite getting him- although he could feel their heat.

The Psycho Cut merely made the Pignite even angrier. It swung its palms towards the Absol; an Arm Thrust.

Luke moved further away, beginning to get scared. And he had thought these non-Medita-Town pokemon would be friendly...A small crowd of humans was slowly beginning to gather, either intent on watching the battle, to capture one, two or all three of the pokemon, or to try and break the fight up.
