Been having a think about this, and I was wondering... does anyone else think that the Lizardon that Kaki uses as his Poke Ride is intended to be one of advanced age. It has been mentioned that it belonged to Kaki's grandfather, and it looks quite different to others of its species... its a lighter shade of orange and its body, especially its limbs, are considerably chubbier than you would expect.

I understand we're dealing with a different animation style than we're used to so that could explain some aspects but I don't know... it definitely reminds me of other older/elderly Pokemon we've seen in the show in the past.

Its wings also have some wear in them. In my opinion it's definitely meant to look older!

The Blastoise we saw in the Gladion episode looked the same as Blastoises before, so I doubt it's the animation style.

I was thinking about his charizard's age months ago, back in like winter and spring. I think the charizard is old since we have to imagine that Kiawe's grandfather got it maybe at around 10 years of age.

I suppose it's just never occurred to me. The physical differences are there but they haven't been given the same emphasis in universe as Tracey's elderly Scyther.

Most Pokémon besides Pikachu are the same. It's the humans that got beaten with the ugly stick.

I don't like his Charizard's eyes. They're off.
