Sorry to be making another thread so soon

but like last week I made a topic simular to this on Deviantart last week, also if theres another topic like this please tell me.

I was just wondering if they wil make the baby Kangaskhan it's own speices in this generation, lots of people say that it's born with the baby in it's pouch already ( well duh) but they would change that obviously right?

I dunno maybe theyre be born as the blue baby one then evolve with a baby in it's pouch

im just dying to see a pre evo!

I can't read anything due to font colour.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. A Kangaskhan pre-evo would create much more confusion. The very first would be how to obtain it. When you breed two Wobbufett in Gen III, you get a Wobbufett unless one of them is holding a lax insence. Wierd. But consider Kangaskhan. If 2 breed normally, we would get a Kangaskhan which already has the baby kangaskhan in its pouch but if it is holding something, we would get a pre-evo. This creates confusion.

Second would be when it evolves. When said pre-evo evolves, it would have a baby in its pouch which creates the same problem we had before which was explaining why a newly hatched kangaskhan already had a baby. Then the pre-evo serves no purpose as it doesn't solve any of the problems Kangaskhan has. So GF is going to ignore Kangaskhan and the oddities it has. Like many of the Gen I pokemon, Kangaskhan has several problems due to game mechanics added in later generations.

They can remove the baby.

They removed Remoraid from Mantine's sprite in gen4. Maybe to avoid confusion whit Mantyke, they can do the same thing here.

ive noticed the ramoaid on the mantine is gone too

but yeah i guess it be confusing

its just confusing to me that its born with an offspring already

They should have fixed it back in gen II. But now the only solution I can see is that a kanga-baby would be produced if a kangaskhan bred with a new, male version (kangaskhing?). The baby would then evolve based on gender, and if it evolved into kangaskhan it would have a baby in it's pouch. It would still be confusing but bot half as confusing as a mother with a baby hatching from an egg.

Maybe Kangaskhan are like Tribbles, which are born pregnant. At least according to Dr. McCoy. (That's a Star Trek reference, for those of you who have never seen the show.)

i say that the topic is good

kangaskhan is a confusing..but simple pokemon

the only time we do see ti hatched with a baby is in the game.. so what? they have changed alof od pokemon looks

not just mantyne but also jynx and im sure others

look it up

and i think it would be like this of 2 ways

either the new baby would have a (not so gross looking) fetus attached to it, also bringing new moves to just the baby line pokemon which the adult pokemon can chose to stay with or not

or it would just be the baby Kanga and later as it grows into 2nd or final form the baby appeaser do to holding lucky egg or so

i think it works

In my opinion, the baby Kangaskhan are basically part of the mom. I don't think its a totally different pokemon, more like a detached... drone? You never see a half-grown kangaskhan, one that looks like the "baby" and the mom, so I think they are the same pokemon in two different bodies (similar to exeggcute).

i agree wit the idea i think kangskhan really needs pre evoltion it would be so cool i really want to see baby kangskan
yea its a pretty good idea i think

Who was this directed at? If it was me then thank you for your input, and if not, then never mind.

Kangaskhan is just like our real world Kangaroos. When a baby kangaroo is born, it crawls from it's mothers womb to the mother's pouch and develops from there until it is ready to leave its mothers pouch in which it makes its own life. Maybe one way to solve this problem is not the sole use of eggs, but include other breeding styles as well and make a male version of kangaskhan without the pouch.

I know that since this is a game meant for younger ones that they don't want to become too graphic, but then again, with all the knowledge younger ones get from the internet and other forms of media, the egg notion will confuse the heck out of them and wonder more and more

They could go and create the pre-evo, no matter what. Just consider, no one expecte Happiny or Mime Jr., yet there they are. And changing Kangaskhan's sprite would help a lot.

i would like for some one to answer on this topic

and yes, kangaroos do have that aspect of marsupialism, so they should make a male one

they didnt have a prob making nidoQUEEN and nidoKING

I just want them to leave kangaskhan alone. No prevo & no baby removal.

[warning: long, unverified fan theory ahead]

The reason I say this is because I believe that kangaskhan have telescoping generations - that is to say, every kangaskhan baby is born with a kangaskhan fetus inside her own womb. This fetus is produced parthenogenically as with some aphid species.

When the baby is probably halfway through its pregnancy it begins releasing a special hormone which travels from the pouch into the mother's blood. This hormone is transported to the Mother's pituitary gland which releases a new hormone that begins the asexual, parthogenic production of a new fetus and causes the mother to start looking for a suitable site for hibernation.

Ideally, it should be easily accessible, even attractive, to predators but sheltered enough to shield one from the elements (for reasons explained below). When she does, her first pregnant cub emerges from the pouch (still preggers with her fetus), and climbs into the hibernation site (such as a burrow) and hibernates for a certain period of time.

During this period (which may range from days, to months, to years) the baby kangaskhan metamorphoses (note, doesn't evolve) from its neotenous form into its adult state (i.e. a normal kangaskhan). During this time the fetus moves into the pouch from the womb as a new baby kangaskhan, with her own developing fetus inside her. As the cub is metamorphosing the mother sticks around the site. She lies in wait, hidden amongst the geography and waits, until some scavenger pokémon tries to take advantage of her cub's defenceless hibernative state. She then ambushes said scavengers and eats them, subsequently returning to her concealed waiting spot. By repeating this ambush process she provides herself (and newly developing fetus) with sustinence.

The advantage of this behaviour (instead of say choosing a very secure site for hibernation and leaving the cub alone) is that not only can she ensure that her cub is not found anyway and preyed upon (therefore ensuring the next generation) but this method of ambush predation also allows her to spend less energy throughout her new pregnancy hunting, giving more energy to the development of the fetus inside her. Another advantage is that after this metamorphosis is complete (when the new adult kangaskhan and her pregnant child cub emerge from the burrow) she can lead them back to the main herd for protection so that the cycle can begin again.

And thats why the parent and child are never seen to be separated. And why they exist as a female only species.

The baby Kangaskhan thing really needs to be dealt with as does the question: where the heck are the males of that species?! Or do all Kangaskhan have pouches regardless of gender and so it's just assumed they're all female?

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing a third form/male version that was Normal/Fighting.
