I was looking a wiki article about Kappa and read sign was put on up to warn children of kappa and they still do which is odd, i guess they want to keep children from playing near body of water.

Well, that's definitely one way to keep your kids out of trouble: scare them straight with monster stories.

I'd be scared if I heard a Greek letter was attacking a body of water as well.

All joking aside, this reminds me of something I read somewhere. Supposedly in some places signs were put up around bodies of water warning potential swimmers that the water contains "high levels of hydrogen". The funny thing is that it's true (for all water in fact).

I'm 90% certain that water with "high levels of Hydrogen" refers to "heavy water", or water containing the isotope deuterium, otherwise none as 2H.

Basically, it just causes impotence, so signs warning for that is good too ;D

(Feel free to correct my Chem. if I fail)

No, the signs weren't about deuterium, they were just put up to try and scare people who had little to no knowledge of chemistry.

Well there are other reasons water can be dangerous.

Haha, I wish people had that sense of humor here. It could just be polluted.

Wouldn't some kids actually want to see said monster and hop in the lake?

My dad claimed there was a monster in the woods and to stay out. First thing I did was go back there with a really big stick.

Well, that's the beauty of it. You see, the smart child wouldn't go out in search of something that would kill it.

This way, it keeps the smart kids alive and the dumb ones, well...

:p

I survived. And got got a lv. 89 Kappa! I call it Golduck. My slightly above average intel. saved me.
