hii and welcome to my art thread!!
im karma and i draw, i especially love drawing my ocs so you may find here characters with little to no context (i'll try my best to provide). who knows, maybe i'll even post fanart which i make once every blood moon (°ロ°)
most of my art is traditional colorless lineart, so expect a lot of sketch-looking drawings that i try to clean as best as possible

-- im guessing my art will evolve with time, so it's needless to say later posts will contain newer art --

that being said im gonna start this with some drawings i just finished (˘︶˘) drawing at 12 am is like magic but side profiles are still hard to do </3

a character with messy hair in various poses, one of them being more elegant clothing and another sneaking up on an unsuspecting wild toxel

im currently working on their story but for now they're a rebel forced to be a pokemon trainer by their wealthy family

i've been wanting for some time to do an animatic(?) with a specific song that i thinks fits an oc a lot, thanks to women's day i could force myself to start it (happy women's day too btw) because i've been MONTHS with this idea

the song in question is Ribs by The Crane Wives (cool band you should totally check them out they do country and folklore stuff), the song is about a woman protecting herself from cruelty and facing her fears on her own terms
the oc in question is (very abridged lore ahead and im only mentioning the stuff i plan on drawing for the animatic) a zoroark who died while migrating to hisui and became a hisuian variant (this is as much as i drew today for this </3), a century after she started roaming the region as a ghost she meets a typhlosion who wants to eat her soul and during a fight she's swallowed by a space-time distortion, now in the future she poses as a human to blend in and she finds a riolu who wants to become a strong fighter so she sets to train her so she doesnt become a lonely meanie like her

a decaying zoroark with visible innards

a hisuian zoroark laying on top of rocks side-eyeing something

a hisuian zoroark looking at the clouds, which look like arceus

a hisuian zoroark carving a crude drawing of herself on a tree

a hisuian zoroark looking at a newly made town and seeing humans

a hisuian zoroark scratching a nearby tree angered as she retreats with the other zoroarks

i hope i can make more tomorrow!! :DD i like how it's coming out so far

aaaaa im almost finished, im more than 2/3 through i didnt expect to make progress so fast haha turns out i just needed to start it to get motivation (°ㅂ°)

drawing of a hisuian zoroark holding a snowflake

a hisuian typhlosion circling in, looking for a quick meal perhaps

the zoroark mocking the typhlosion

a girl (the zoroark in disguise) looks behind her surprised

behind the girl was a riolu, looking at her in admiration

finished it!! im happy with the result, especially considering i had been putting it off for like months now :))
the disguised zoroark looking happily at someone

the riolu has evolved into lucario and is looking happily at her trainer

the disguised zoroark and the lucario walk together holding hands chatting happily

the lucario megaevolves in battle as the disguised zoroark cheers for her

the disguised zoroark is battling against a trainer who looks similar to a hisuian typhlosion, the illusions of both are slipping

kick his ass queen

the hisuian zoroark laughs while looking up while it snows

aaaa she makes it back eventually to hisui/past sinnoh dw she's fine (^w^)b AND she grows along the way which is also great
yay yippee yay yippee (งᐛ)ว

first we uma then we musume, LET'S UMAMUSUME!!!!

a buff horse lady

anyway i finished the refs for these ocs but im gonna post the little icons i did for their toyhouse pages :3
i try to do these type of things super fast in "small" resolution, just to check if i can recreate their designs semi-ok right after finishing them
i love them already teehee i love horseys

a horsegirl with greying hair looking angrily because she has a sad backstory or something
a horsegirl holding her face like those yandere anime girls but not looking yandere-ish she's totally normal i swear

it's funny because they had no reason to be umamusume i just felt like it one day lol, this all started when i thought "what if bloody mary and la llorona are the same type of ghost?" and ended up being "what if bloody mary and la llorona are in love with each other?"

Hello! Cozy place you got here! And those drawings! They are easy to the eye, I can't help but smile a little when seeing them!

You've mentioned about making an animatic in your first posts, right? It is a very interesting project, I liked the general idea! Still... Why not taking a little step further?

Perhaps you have a 3DS console? There are two apps that might aid you in producing a short animation! Flipnote Studio 3D is mostly cherished by everyone with easy to learn commands, a simple layout, multiple interchangeable speeds of foliage for each virtual layer... You can even change layers to boost a 3D perspective depending on what you want to emphasize in your movie! You can add somewhat 90 seconds of music, plus 4 sound effects to boost the immersion by using the microphone in console. What's more, the in built camera can take some pictures as well, Flipnote-fy it and you may even use it as some sort of instant background, if you want! It leaves hanging on the animation length, depending on how ambitious you are, though... But you can combine multiple flipnotes, to form one BIG flipnote!

The other app I recommend is Butterfly Inchworm Animation II.This one is amazing... Close to "professionally amazing". Huge colour pallete, in built stock of sound effects, plus an in built synthetizer to produce your own sounds, various brushes, personalized line effects, background effects, stamps, in real time painting while your animation plays... It has everything and a bit more. It is a dream coming true for a 3ds artist who wish to go even further beyond.
The downside however, is that the learning curve is very steep... It has so much to offer that you feel a bit overwhelmed... Still, there were even Disney animators that played around with this app and made their shorts with it!

Just small suggestions... Either way, I really like your art! Please continue! I'll be hoping for even more!

P.S.: FlipaClip is another great resource! Available for notebooks and smartphones!
