Kathy's Pokemon anime rewrite ideas

I thought that I would want to try rewriting the Pokemon anime, but I had so many ideas, I decided to try a blog post. Here they are.

With Ash:
Indigo League:

• Ash's Bulbasaur evolves into Ivysaur and then finally into a Venasaur.
• After the Indigo League ends, Team Rocket successfully steals Pikachu and gives him to Giovanni, so Ash and his friends have to get him back.
• They succeed, and Giovanni fires the Team Rocket trio for their incompetence and disbands Team Rocket.

Gold and Silver:

• Ash's Cyndaquil evolves into a Typhlosion and his Chikorita evolves into a Meganium.
• The GS Ball has a purpose.
• Team Rocket has their Johto goals.
• Silver appears as Ash's rival.

Advanced Generation:

• Retire Brock and make Brendan Ash's traveling companion
• Give Mudkip to Max and have him evolve it into a Swampert.
• Give May Swablu which evolves into Altaria
• Have May's Combusken evolve earlier
• Leaf appears during the Battle Frontier arc as Ash's rival
• Have Team Aqua and Magma appear as the main villains
• Wally appears

Diamond and Pearl:

• Dawn beats Zoey in the Grand Festival
• Ash's traveling companions are Roark and Dawn
• Dawn evolves Piplup into Empoleon
• Barry gets more screen time and actually wins a battle
• Ash challenges Volkner right away
• Sinnoh Battle Frontier arc
• Team Galactic are the main villain

Black and White:

• Team Plasma are the main villains
• Ash's traveling companions would be Iris and Cheren
• Cheren gets Snivy
• Iris doesn't get Emolga and Excadrill
• Iris's team would be Druddigon, Hydreigon, Axew, Dragonite, Archeops and Garchomp
• Iris actually takes more steps towards her goal of becoming a Dragon master
• Hugh appears
• The Team Plasma arc happens earlier with BW1 Team Plasma but then they reform under B2W2 Team Plasma and attempt to freeze Unova over.

XYZ:

• Serena is older, does not have a crush on Ash and her goal is to master and learn more about Mega Evolution instead of doing Showcases
• Serena's team is Absol, Altaria, Braixen, Pangoro, Lopunny, Clefable and Swampert.
• Bonnie gets Sylveon and Chespin.
• Clement gets a Manetric which can Mega Evolve
• Ash brings his Charizard to Kalos and gets a Mega Charizard Y
• Charizard competes in the Lumiose Conference instead of Goodra
• Xerneas and Yveltal appear to help Ash and his friends stop Team Flare
• Team Flare are the main villains
• Sawyer and Alain are both Ash and Serena's rivals
• Shauna gets a Mega Venasaur
• At the end of the series, Serena leaves to go to Hoenn to study the Primal Reversion phenomenon

Sun and Moon:

• Ash would travel around instead of attending school
• The Trial Captains would have their in game roles instead of being Ash's classmates
• Ash would challenge the Trial Captains
• Ash's traveling companions would be Lillie, Hau, Selene and sometimes Gladion
• Ash would get Rowlet, which evolves into Decidueye and learns Spirit Shackle, Hau would get Popplio and Selene would get Litten
• Lillie's team would be Clefairy, Comfey, Cutiefly -> Ribombee and Alolan Ninetales
• Lillie's role would be like her in game role where she takes care of Nebby and she would not have a fear of touching Pokemon
• Lusamine would actually be evil

Journeys:

• Ash battles Diantha instead of Cynthia and Leon battles Cynthia
• Ash battles Bede
• Mustard instead of Alain
• Ash battles Caitlin instead of Rinto, Marlon instead of Korrina and Janine instead of Volkner
• Iris gets a Mega Salamence in the World Coronation Series
• Chloe catches Galarian Ponyta and Alcremie.

Without Ash:

Indigo League:

• I would keep Ash, Brock and Misty. Red traveling would have been nice, but since there is already a game based on the anime, I would just keep Ash.
• Ash would win the Indigo League.
• Team Rocket would succeed in stealing Pikachu.
• Ash's Bulbasaur evolves into Venasaur
• The series ends with Ash leaving to challenge the Elite Four and Lance now that Team Rocket has been defeated

Gold and Silver:

• I would make Jimmy and Marina the main protagonists.
• Make Silver appear and be Jimmy's main rival.
• Team Rocket's role would be like their role in Johto

Advanced Generation:

• Brendan and May would be the main protagonists.
• Team Aqua and Magma would be the main villains.
• Brendan would do the battles and May would still be a Coordinator. He would later go challenge the Battle Frontier.
• Wally would be Brendan's rival.
• Max would stay at home or have a team of Pokemon. His team would be a starter (Mudkip -> Marshtomp -> Swampert), Swablu -> Altaria, Lotad -> Lombre -> Ludicolo, Poochyena -> Mightyena, Wingull -> Pelipper and Bagon -> Shelgon -> Salamence.
• The Battle Frontier would not take place in Kanto, so May's team would be Minun, Plusle, Munchlax and Eevee instead of Squirtle and Bulbasaur.

Diamond and Pearl:

• Dawn and Lucas would be the protagonists.
• Dawn and Barry would be childhood friends.
• Team Galactic would be the main villains.
• Barry would be Luca's rival.
• Dawn would still do Contests and Lucas would challenge the Gyms and the Battle Frontier.
• Dawn defeats Zoey at the Grand Festival
• Dawn's Piplup evolves into Empoleon

Black and White:

• Hilda and Hilbert would be the main protagonists.
• Iris would be Drayden's Gym Assistant.
• Bianca and Cheren would be the rivals. Cheren would later become a Gym Leader, and the Aspertia Gym is where Hilda and Hilbert meet Rosa and Nate.
• Rosa and Nate would join Hilda and Hilbert halfway.
• Hilda would challenge the Gyms.
• Hugh would appear.
• Team Plasma would be the main villains.
• Reshiram, Zekrom and Kyurem would appear.
• There would be a two year time skip. Cheren would have become a Gym Leader and Bianca would have become Professor Juniper's assistant.
• After the time skip, Hilda and Hilbert would meet Rosa, Nate and Hugh.
• Nate would challenge the Gyms.
• The Plasma Frigate would appear.
• N would play a major role.
• Hilda challenges the BW Gym Leaders, and Nate challenges the B2W2 Gym Leaders.

XY:

• The main protagonists would be Serena and Calem. Serena would not have a crush on Calem, and the protagonists would be older.
• Serena and Calem would receive a Mega Ring. Serena receives Mega Absol, and Calem receives Mega Alakazam.
• Shauna, Trevor and Tierno would be the main rivals. Shauna would not do Showcases, and instead be a battling rival.
• Serena would not do Pokemon Showcases and she would also not change her outfit or cut her hair short.
• Calem would challenge the Gyms and Serena would be a mentor figure and her goal would be to master Mega Evolution.
• Emma would appear.
• Team Flare would be the main villains. Xerneas and Yveltal would appear in the main series, and Team Flare would launch the Ultimate Weapon.
• Calem would defeat Alain in the Kalos League.

SM:

• The main protagonists would be Selene and Elio.
• Hau would be the main rival.
• Lillie would permanently switch to the outfit that she picked by herself. Her team would also be Clefairy, Cutiefly, Comfey and Alolan Ninetales. She would not be afraid of touching Pokemon, but have her role in the games where she takes care of Nebby.
• Lusamine would be evil.
• There would be something related to Team Rainbow Rocket.
• The Trial Captains would have their roles in the games, and the protagonists would challenge them.

SWSH:

• The protagonists would be Gloria and Victor.
• Hop would be the main rival.
• Bede would appear.
• They would later go to the Isle of Armor, where they meet Kubfu and then go the Crown Tundra, where they meet Calyrex, Spectrier and Glastrier. At the end, they would compete in the Galarian Star Tournament.
• Team Yell and Macro Cosmos would be the main villains

SV:

• The main protagonists would be Florian and Juliana.
• Arven would have a major role.
• The Titan Pokemon would be shown.
• Sada and Turo would appear.
• The main legendary Pokemon would be Koraidon, and the protagonists would permanently attend Naranja Academy, but then transfer to Blueberry Academy and meet Terapagos. They would also go to Kitakami and meet Ogerpon and Pecharunt.
• Team Star would appear and be the main villains.
