*Please don't lock this thread, it's important!

Hi, did you notice that the TV Tokyo channel was dropped from the program list in Keyhole TV? this is a big problem because the episode of Rocket's departure is on thursday, in 2 days, and nobody outside of Japan will watch the episode.

Can anyone check the program? to be sure it's not only my program

(And maybe do you have another source to watch TV Tokyo on the net?)
Thanks.

There's a notice in the program regarding issues they have with the more popular channels, asking for donations, etc.

The channel might come back - like when it has disappeared before, but if TV Tokyo isn't available, look for 「テレビせとうち」 in the channel list, it's another station that carries the same programming - I think the quality is a bit better than the main TV Tokyo feed anyway.

Though as I post, it seems not to be there either, but it was working for last week's episode.

The channel isn't there anymore... I think the guy who runs this program has closed all the channels he had. And he might have closed TV Tokyo for good, we can't trust this program anymore.

We need to find another source to watch the episodes online. Anyone who has another source of online watching, please put it here.

Japan's new anti-piracy law took effect October 1st. Don't expect to be able to watch the anime on Keyhole or anywhere else anymore.

That will be a copyright infraction if anyone does. Asking for a link also counts as copyright violation.

So it's off for good.. I'm so sad right now.

It was a dream to watch the league at live. Now it won't happen. ;_;

...but telling people how to access illegal streams via Keyhole apparently doesn't, but is in fact encouraged?

Could always wait for the dub or just buy the DVD releases when they come XD. Never saw the point in Keyhole. Tried it once and quit after 10 mins. Way too much lagging

There's always someone posting the episodes on Youtube soon after the episode airs, so why bother panicking? And of course, there are always other methods to obtain the anime footage asides from that, none which I will state because of certain forum rules...

Either way, if this is permanent, then that would not only mean the end of fans watching the Pokemon anime directly from Japan (unless you live there), but the end of anime fans everywhere since many other people used Keyhole TV to see their favorite anime series (Pokemon isn't the ONLY anime that airs on TV Tokyo mind you), though as stated earlier, there will always be other methods of getting to see the anime.

Uhhh... The dub is atleast 17 episodes behind :|

We'll be tweeting details about the episodes on BNN as they're airing and then write more detailed reports of what happened later on. It'll be like the old days.

Your point? It's called waiting. Watching live streams is a luxury. Waiting won't kill you, Besides 17 eps behind is nothing compared to the 4kids days when you were like over 100 eps behind at times. Honesty the Internet has just made people greedy.

I will kind of prefer it that way to be honest Dogasu. It was always a bit more satisfying to have details leaked slowly onto the forums as the episode aired without every ordinary Joe managing to access a stream of the episode. There was occasionally the chance to be surprised when viewing the pictures later as some of the episode's finer details had perhaps been neglected in the early write-up, and it was just much more satisfying to have the odd picture of an important moment crop up courtesy of a Japanese imageboard, e.g. Dawn's new Ambipom in DP. Call me (slightly) old-fashioned but I much preferred the AG and early DP days when we had to bide our time for the full details of a new episode, although nowadays we still won't have to wait so long as certain sources manage to upload screenshots within an hour of the episode airing.

We haven't encouraged people to use that program in months.

Well, it's not like this thread discourages its use, and it does identify how to access certain illegal streams...
But yeah, it does look like you figured out this "entirely legal way of watching the anime directly" wasn't all that legal after all, and quietly removed all instructions on how to do so. Ignorance is an excuse when it's the staff unknowingly breaking anti-piracy rules, I guess.

(yeah, I know, I know. It's still amusing)

Are you sure with this? Because now he has returned all the channels and TV Tokyo. Maybe this law isn't valid for channels on the net?

TVTokyo is back. This happens all the time with that program. Where channels disappear and reappear randomly.
