Kid Icarus Wii, or should I say Kid Kratos?

A tragic case of just not getting it:

Good news: Nintendo wants to do Kid Icarus Wii

Bad News: They're farming it out to Factor 5 who wants to do a story about Pit as a badass fallen angel cursed for 1000 years and sent to the underworld and covered in tattoos of various sins and then forced to fight his way out to slay gods. Basically, they want to do God of War but with Kid Icarus.

This guy says it best:
Thank god they're making Kid Icarus more hardcore. Not a day goes by when I don't think "You know, they need bring back Kid Icarus, but like, give him some tats and badass armor. And, like, he shouldn't be a kid, neither! and he'd be all headshottin' people with the arrows! "

I also hope they opt for drab brown color palette. That'd be bitchin'.

If ever there was a time for Captain N macros, it would be now. Sure that show turned him into kinda an idiot, but it was way closer to how he's supposed to be than *this*.

Although that picture's kinda hot. But for an entirely new character!
 
... I'd check the calender to make sure it's not April 1st, but I'm afraid the realization would cause my head to explode.

I'm assuming Nintendo thinks since outsourcing worked with Metroid, it will work with Kid Icarus. The big difference is that Retro didn't try to turn Metroid into Halo.
I want to know what the people at Factor 5 are smoking (besides powdered copies of God of War.)
 
That picture you posted isn't real, is it? In the second news article, the new Pit looked much different and neither of 'em said anything about your God of War-style story.

Still, I don't know why they should be making Pit an adult in a Kid Icarus game.
 
Well, I'm not sure if this is 100% confirmed yet though. I believe Factor 5 probably is making a KI game, but it would be bad if it basically stooped to what the (not so) fanboys want. (A lot of people wanted it to be a GoW clone because they are both Ancient Greek Mythology themed)
 
From what I've heard, these are just concept sketches. I don't think we have too much to worry about until they actually start working on the actual game.
 
:jaw drop: Is that picture even for real?! I will be severely shocked if it is.
 
To be honest, it'll probably be an improvement over the asshole Brawl gave us.
